    Easy 6, as well.

Very sharply dressed with a great nature. He actually got Deeney wanting to score from open play and Iggy even found a new level. Passionate for the game in general and very rarely the grumpy old git Wally was.

I’d love to find out one day the reason Iggy forgot how to play second half of that year and the rest of the team followed suit.

Nice words for us, and I respect the tine he was here. Best of luck to the man in all his endeavours.

It's very inconsistent that Gracia was offered a new mid-season deal but Quique was not, despite the fact that we were unbeaten against every team below us having played each once.

However it was correct to move him on based on the second half.

I think the difference is (if you believe the behind the scenes words at the time) that QSF and/or his family wanted a return to Spain. He certainly went into the Espanyol job quickly. I think if Gino believed Flores wanted to be here longer term, he may have extended his contract.

Gracia is literally tailor-made for everything Watford are about right now - I don’t think that’s been true of the previous managers.

It's one thing to say he looked pretty - that's fine, I have no problem with that.
But: "Best since GT" and all this nostalgia for his coaching - - Whaaat!?
Fresh into the Premier and 2 guys scoring loadsa goals we were doing well at first. Once Ighalo dried up he could be seen for what he was: Average and no plan B. He persisted with Suarez and that little-squit-who-was great at ball control-but-never-scored-nor assisted -any-goals. And the play and results as the season wore on became alarmingly poor. I sadly remember Soton v Watford in the pouring rain: Dreadful, just dreadful; how Saints only won 2 - 0 I still can't work out. If we had stayed with him we were going down next season and Gino, I'm sure, knew it.
It may be worth noting he never stays coaching at any club longer than a year or two and he's had loads of clubs.
He may well look good and act cool and be kind to children and axolotls for all I know, but he is not a good enough coach for us.

Thankfully the linesman played an absolute blinder that night with a number of dubious offside flags. He was by far and away Watford's man of the match.

    Fair comment.

Something clearly happened at this stage of that season.

QSF no showed at the Christmas party, if we believe the rumours, which is pretty significant (especially as I imagine Quique would be great at parties).

The results & performances collapsed immediately.

Anyway, Stevo always encourages us to cherish our history & our traditions & so, in that spirit, let us relive Mrs Quique (aka Orsi Feher) basking in the Golden Boy experience.

From the look, this must have been taken in the old East Stand (although Stevo will know for sure).

We were all but safe by christmas. Have a look at the squad he had. His achievement was miraculous.

Even GT himself failed miserably to keep us in the Premier League when he had his shot at it.

I'm glad he went because I hated watching that team in the second half of the season, but to try and piss on his chips just makes you look daft.
