Mick McCarthy and Big Sam already listed as the favourites by the bookies. They just need somebody to can get the team attacking again. So those 2 might not be ideal!
Big Mick it is - only for a tournament qualifying section then Stephen Kenny taking over. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46331732
Glad to see you guys are taking an interest in Ireland. I thought you had forgotten about us. Not sure if there is any management team that could resurrect Ireland’s chances into the future. Talent pool is simply not there.
I like Keane and always will. Great midfielder and would get into an all time 23 for players from Ireland and the United Kingdom. Always said it like it was something that is unpopular now. Ireland might have to go down the route they have always done and get players in with Irish parentage (as many people in Britain do) and one of the first things is getting players like Declan Rice to commit their future to the Republic or cap them at senior level as soon as they can as with Grealish who played under age football but then chose to represent England at u21 level. Will Ferry and Troy Parrott look promising as striking options but there is a long way to go for them. Maybe even our own Ryan Cassidy.
