Once again, Kingsley Fobi had the weekend off. I'd be amazed if he's still with Ibiza-Eivissa come the end of January.

Another loan period with Formentera awaits I suspect, which is a nice place in the summer, but is a bit like Thanet in the winter.

Good job we got Ken Sema in to cover his position, otherwise I might be wondering if we had let him go to soon.

He's getting regular minutes, scoring goals and making assists for both D*sseldorf & Belgium U21s. He's only 21 and a season with Fortuna will do him, and ultimately WFC, the world of good. His minutes would've been severely limited had he stayed here this season. It's all good.

Seriously, how difficult is it to know who plays for your football club?!?

Ol' JCB really went down with a clatter after chasing a through ball and landed badly on his shoulder. He limped off after receiving treatment and never returned.

The incident can be seen here; https://twitter.com/TeruelCd/status/1059519577334407169

In the above tweet CD Teruel also said 'INJURY OF BECERRA - This is the play in which @juancbecerra suffered a '#luxacion del #acromioclavicular' that will keep him away from the pitch. On Wednesday the last tests will be carried out that will determine if the striker must pass through the operating room or not.'

That's all very good and let's hope tomorrows tests show he doesn't need an operation BUT, if you're going to include your players twitter name at least make sure it's the correct one and you're not linking some middle-aged Mexican bloke into science, philosophy and rodeo!! They're really rubbing salt into the wound!!!

Fluminense v. Corinthians Copa do Brasil quarter final, Under-17s - LIVE right now - kick-off 6pm

Joao Pedro starts for the stripey shirts and wears #9 and Fluminense are 4-2 up from the 1st leg.

A relatively easy 3-0 win for Fluminense on the day, 7-2 on aggregate.
    Pedro didn't score but was involved in goals 1 & 3 (I didn't see goal #2).

A nicely dummied shot & leave for a team mate to side foot home for the first.
He found space between defence & midfield for the third, received the ball and played a lovely weighted first time pass which was scored from.

I'll post videos if/when they appear.

I think the semi-final 1st leg is next Tuesday, away to Clube Atlético Paranaense.

I'm in a state of stupefaction after Daniel Bachmann started the game for Kilmarnock today against league leaders Hearts. He also kept a clean sheet in their 1-0 win.

Despite Kilmarnock's regular #1 Jamie MacDonald, 32, getting a call up to the national side this week (yet to play for them, 10x U21 caps) the reaction on Killies forum was not one of surprise to see him relieved of his position.

Bachmann wasn't overly tested judging by the reports and reactions I've literally spent seconds scanning while munching some rice cakes. That's not a joke, euphemism or in any way hiding a message of any sort, I just enjoy a rice cake (salt n vinegar flavour) while reading. It's my thing so stop judging me.

What he had to do, he did. Much like Kerry Godliman on Taskmaster he came in, saw the task ahead of him and got the job done. Bosh. 3 points.

    *****

In news from Spain, 'The Tank' Juan Camillo Becerra had an operation on his shoulder this morning and his club CD Teruel hope to see him back sooner rather than later.

He appears to be enjoying life in hospital and when asked if he'd want the liquified steak & chips for dinner, he gave a big thumbs up. Ice cream for afters too - result!

Interesting interview before the Bristol Rovers game today in the FA Cup with their manager Darrell Clarke. He said Alex Jakubiak wasn't available for Rovers as his parent club didn't give them permission to play him.

Yet both Jerome Sinclair (Sunderland) & Randall Williams (Wycombe) both played a part in their teams cup-ties.

Jakubiak & Sinclair are both on season long loans while Williams is only until January 2nd.

She must be the brains & the husband the looker to produce such a fine specimen of a hooman.

    I can just imagine her with him on her knee as a toddler singing the traditional Becerra family song;
    One Becerra, two Becerra,
    Three Becerra, four,
    Five Becerra, six Becerra,
    Seven Becerra, more.

There is presumably more than one Obbi Oulare playing for Liege, must just be a Belgian Fluminese Joao Pedro thing.

That is by far the most logical explanation.

The last game was live on YouTube but coverage is pretty hit or miss, possibly more hit the closer to the final it gets.

Every one of us has a secret so who knows!?!

Did she ever mysteriously disappear for a long weekend in Colombia some 21 years ago?
Has she ever mentioned a handsome man/test-tube technician with the surname Maya? (The young lads full name is Juan Camillo Becerra Maya).
I've found a list of Tennis coaches in Colombia and each of them has a Christian name beginning with the letter 'M', Mauricio Head, Mario Rincón & Miguel Tobón. So it's not too much of a stretch to suggest Monica Becerra would be the fourth.

    Lastly, I'd like to amend the lyrics to the Becerra family anthem to the following;

    Juan Becerra, two Becerra,
    Three Becerra, four,
    Five Becerra, six Becerra,
    Seven Becerra, more.

The 1st leg of the Copa do Brasil U20 semi-final between Palmeiras & Fluminense is today at about 6pm.

    1-1 at full-time.
Joao Pedro scored a fox-in-the-box type goal before Palmeiras equalised with a soft penalty in 2nd half added on time.

The 2nd leg is next Wednesday at 6pm.

'Vamos de nuevo' as they say every bloody where.

Huesca played a friendly this morning against SD Eibar, losing 0-2. Cucho came on for 25 minutes and didn't score.

My premonition of his next goal being on Sunday 13th, January, against CD Leganés at 7.37pm is still holding up!

In terms of goals, yes. But it's the first time he's played in a top division and because it's a small club he's likely to start more than he doesn't. Getting that experience of top flight football will be invaluable going forward. He's also not had to settle into another town/city so can concentrate on his football and I doubt there's too much expectation of the club doing anything other than battle relegation.

They're just under a third of the season gone and here are his official stats from LaLiga
    https://www.laliga.es/en/player/juan-camilo-hernandez

In the games I've followed of theirs they've generally been in contention of getting something (I haven't followed many admittedly!) and either bad misses or poor defending has cost them dearly. That sounds familiar right now!

But you may be right though and while his loan is for the whole of this season, I'm sure WFC would pull him out of the deal and get him somewhere else if they thought being at Huesca wasn't of any benefit.

Personally I think a season of regular minutes, even at a struggling side, will be good for him just like Lukebakio is experiencing at D*sseldorf.

Difficult playing in a struggling side but is he playing well, does he look like top league footballer?

I've only seen highlights clips as I don't subscribe to Eleven Sports or use streams to watch.
By follow I mean reading reports after the event so I'm in no position to say if he looks like a top league footballer to be honest, sorry.
What I've read though is usually complimentary if not saying he's the next Suarez or whoever.

Remember though, he's still only 19 and as I said before it's his first season at the highest club level.

  34. The undeniable truth

The issue will be more if he loses confident as a result of lack of goalscoring chances. At the time it seemed a great move to leave him there but i wonder, if he is that highly rated, it might have been able to get him into a mid-table side.

  35. oxhey67

    oxhey67 Squad Player

I agree and said in my initial reply that I'm sure if WFC thought the same re. confidence or of being held back then they'd terminate the loan in January and get him to another club if possible. I'm pretty confident they'll be monitoring his situation closely!
