To close the mystery, although I do enjoy the forum meltdown it always creates, I heard it on a Spanish sports radio channel. Of course when I hear something which I don’t think will be reported here, I post it. Naively my intention is only to try and keep people informed. But what tends to happen is a flurry of activity to try and find a link, in an attempt to discredit or ridicule. It’s some sort of strange event that always happens on this forum. I’ve never understood this behaviour. Maybe it’s an English thing? No one seems to ever accept anything at face value.
Naturally that's what you want us to think. There's an easy way to sort this out though. Please confirm: What radio station The presenter The long number on the front of your credit card The expiry date The 3 digits on the back of the card The time of the broadcast in question All things I'm sure you could answer if you were legit.
Ok.....to save all this red tape. I got this information from Instagram, Twitter, Newsnow, Facebook, TV, Radio, online media outlet, Spanish passport office, Penaranda's mum. Just pick the one you like the most and run with that. I will support whatever you choose.
I'm tidying up downstairs in readiness for the decorator. I've got some lovely fluff and a fair few books I've forgotten I'd bought but not found it yet. I'll keep looking.
That first sentence and the start of the second sentence is far too much information for a football forum.
Can't help but think that we've not exactly done this lad any favours. He's gone from the next big thing in football to aborted loans at Udinese and Malaga before finally joining the club he signed for years previously and promptly spending the first half of the season sat in the canteen waiting for someone to say he's allowed to do his job. There is something to be said for taking the route we've seemingly just taken with the "new" Richarlison whereby we agree a pre-contract deal and leave them where they were to develop. I know there are more nuances to it than this (he seems to have had attitude problems I know) but he must wonder where he'd be now if he'd just stayed at home for a while longer
Me too. And even if the source had been a UK tweet, so what, HB1 was the first to make us aware on the forum. I don't understand the desire of a few to constantly try to undermine someone who brings more info and insight to the forum than most.
I don't think he was ever the 'next big thing in football', although I know we had high hopes for him. He moved to Udinese from his domestic club at the age of 18. Which is the same age Joao Pedro will move to us at. We then signed him from Udinese when Pozzo pulled out of Granada. He's been a bit of victim of circumstances for sure - and some poor decisions have no doubt been made on his behalf - but I doubt staying home in Vuvuzela would have helped anything.
Maybe not THE next big thing but Leventhal and many La Liga journalists were pushing him in that direction. Youngest South American since Messi etc etc. Given the amount of influence we have at Udinese, it really was stupid to send him there and allow him to sit on the bench and not be able to insist on a certain amount of game time. In hindsight, I'm sure all parties would rather he had stayed at Granada for another year. I would say lets hope not too much damage has been done, but the game is littered with former wonderkids whose career disappeared quickly for one reason or another. The continued lack of information and progress on his case is just annoying now.
Totally agree. By definition it hasn't gone to plan so how would it hurt to make some kind of comment on his situation? No-one is going to say "but I thought it was all hunky-dory". I generally like the way the club does most of its business out of the spotlight but an update is well over-due
https://twitter.com/abdoudoucoure16/status/1062711232682172416 Well, going by this picture he's still training with the 1st team. Could be that somehow we have him ready to play but he can't be registered until January 1st or something?
He looks to have been added today onto the premier league website as a Watford registered player.... Think this may finally have been sorted. Id guess that we may see him in some u23 games first surely
How long do we give him before writing him off, lads? I feel the squad is missing a boo-boy at present
I thought that was Dom Joly!! The U23s have a fixture next week, on the Friday, but as it's international testimonial week there could be a behind-closed-doors friendly arranged in the mean time.
That's the one. And yes, he's a forward but like Deulofeu he's Trigger Happy when it comes to shooting.
