Can we all agree it’s Cardiff and Huddersfield but who will be the 3rd?

    Newcastle Fulham or Soton?

I’m going to also throw in Burnley

Palace always escape. Spam have too much.probably Newcastle too ( I think it’s just a **** start for them.

Newcastle are most likely imo unless they get sold and then spend big in January.

I'd throw in Brighton as a possible too. They are very inconsistent.

If Zaha gets injured or sulks all season...

Hard to see Cardiff surviving given the start they’ve had, and just the general lack of quality in their squad. Huddersfield achieved a minor miracle staying up last year, but I’d agree that they look in trouble second time around.

The third spot is hard to call, but I’d echo the sentiments of others in mentioning Newcastle, Brighton, Palace and Southampton. I think West Ham will have too much and Pellegrini will get them playing better as the season progresses.

Very early but it's difficult to see Cardiff and HTFC surviving. Think the other will be from Newcastle, Brighton or Burnley.

I think West Ham will finish comfortably mid-table, and possibly above us.

    That’s them gone, then.

Zaha is having a right old sulk and with that Palace cannot win - they are a definite candidate for the third spot. I don't think Palace have scored at home yet this season.

....or Fulham. Think we'll be 6th/7th bottom.

Before Saturday, I would have said we were nailed on to finish in the top half. Just when Watford convince you they've turned the corner and are going to do good things, they throw in a stinker like Saturday to tell everyone, "well actually we can still be crap and don't get into thinking we're safe from a relegation battle."

I would be surprised to see any side, apart from the very worst teams, lose by 4 goals at home to a side outside of the "top 6" this season.

Right now, I do not know. Watford are so frustrating to follow in this way. Every season they've started well, then trailed off badly. So far this has been a mini full season already. Will we go down?.....no...I just can't see that happening. I think both Cardiff and Huddersfield will be well short come the end of the season. However, that final place is up for grabs, although Fulham have massive problems defensively.

What elevated us, was the high pressing game and every player being committed to it. Now it seems to have been worked out, and this will be a test for us. Is Gracia able to change things? I think he can and I would expect something a bit different against Wolves in terms of personnel and formation. Gracia is an excellent man manager and when he has time, he can work well with the team. Where I think he has a weakness, is during a match when a change of tactic is required. He hasn't done well with changing things on the fly so far, imo.

Plan A is often very good though, and so far that's worked more often than not. I think Watford will be fine, but I'm not so confident over a top half finish as I was this time last week.

we will never beat a team 4-0, home or away.

Looking at the ("our") last PL2 table Newcastle have 4/5 games "in-hand" compared to us and Everton at the top and have played the fewest games in this league. I think this will save them.

Think Newcastle have too much about them to go down.

Brighton are on a poor run but they were decent earlier in the season (above us at one stage), so could well get their mojo back.

So, Cardiff, Burnley or Southampton. Probably Cardiff, but it could be tight.

Palace would be lovely but I have a feeling that Southampton might be the ones to go. Honeymoon period under Hasabighooter is over and that was a big loss on Saturday to Cardiff. Very tight though from Palace in 13th down to Southampton in 18th. Just 3 points separate 6 teams. Newcastle have a favourable run in and I think Burnley will be ok as they are now proving hard to beat again like last season

    It will not be Palace.
They always tease but always manage to be comfortable.
I have had a £50 bet with Mr IBB on this topic and he refuses to pay out.
I think they play you next Filbert?
I think it will be Cardiff.

They do indeed. Three games, 9-0 on aggregate to Roy Hodgeson against Claude the fraud.

13 goals in 12 at home all season. The last time we took the lead in a game was 10 minutes before full time on Boxing Day. Him, the style of football and the results have completely turned me off the football this season. I’ve been once all season, that was in August. The ST seat next to my dad has been occupied by friends of his with nothing better to do or left empty. He’s about fed up with it too now though. Very much the end of the good times at Leicester.... I can’t complain too much because look at clubs like Bolton and Blackpool but the life has been sucked out of the club with the ageing of the title winning players and the ***** recruitment of staff and players.

Still the weathers going to be nice this weekend..... we don’t have a game because our manager opted to throw the cup game away against Newport to keep us fresh for a defeat at home to Southampton six days later.
