I gave up when it crossed the line from "...interesting..." to "...crawling up its own ********..." (before season 4). I've really enjoyed "Westworld" but, alas, it started midway through the 2nd season of "...crawling up its own ********..." The plot "twists" had all the originality of a magician taking off his/her top hat and pulling a rabbit of of it (and the rabbit's wearing a slightly smaller top hat that the magician removes from its head and pull out of it a slightly smaller rabbit wearing a slightly smaller top hat and...

TBF the best way to end it would be for the company's vehicles to be marked: Which would, at least give them somewhere far more interesting to go.
I can also hope that HBO use the "Western" set to finish "Deadwood" or produce the film version of "Deadwood".

Also, I think Westworld's producers/directors/writers have bee watching far too much Family Guy:

Being addicted to serial killers documentaries.
The Golden State Killer its not over. Watched on investigation discovery. Excellent insight into killer.
Even better now because of a follow up. If anyone is interested watch it first. Don't Google it because it will ruin the experience.

Which one to watch first, 'It's Not Over' or 'Unmasked'?

Probably unmasking a killer. Both are from this year I believe.

    Anybody been watching The Bodyguard?

Forgot it was on and caught up on BBC iPlayer...I think I'm enjoying it...it's a slow burner but so far it's good.

I think I prefer it to The Night Manager.

No Offence has always been a must watch for me and the missus and the new series looks like it is going to be just as good as the last two despite one of the main characters getting bumped off within the first five minutes

  11. Agreed - have just finished watching that & am hoping for a second series. Condor isn't too bad either - in similar vein to Jack Ryan.

Now new but I’m new to it, I’m really enjoying Ballers at the moment.

If you haven’t watched it It’s a very easy watch and I can easily sit through 3-4 episodes without realising. I find all the characters really likeable. If you have a vague interest in the NFL you’ll like it because although fictional, it’s based in the real world as far as teams and players are concerned.

I'm a little late to the party as we only recently got our Netflix act together, but have finally started watching Black Mirror. Obviously not something to settle down to if you need to watch something uplifting that reinforces your faith in human nature - but very good nevertheless.

I could watch Black Mirror over and over. They improve with each series IMO.

I like to practice what I preach so started over again, cherry picking my favorites. I watched "White Christmas" last night. Thanks Happy.

I prefer the ones that have technology only a short way removed from now in them. The one with the app for the over worried parents was no better for the magic device that allowed the parent to see what she saw. The one with the robot dog was terrifying because that’s not so far away.

Love black mirror, of the recent series I really liked hang the DJ. It was really thought provoking for me as somebody recently separated. I know the point was about them breaking out so many times thus proving compatibility, but it made me think about how relationships are not necessarily forever and they all play a part in shaping your life afterwards. This is not meant to be depressing by the way, far from it.

S5 of Bojack Horseman is yet another masterpiece. The "monologue" episode was simply brilliant stuff.

It's clever, it's dark, it delivers yet more savage truths that make you wince, and it's got the perfect ratio of comedy to serious. Why this show doesn't get more exposure is beyond me; I can only assume the thumbnail puts people off.

  22. I should probably try to get into this.

From the outset it just screamed Channel 4 outrageous-for-outrageous sake with comedy aimed at people who probably like that god-awful "comedy" the Phone Shop.

Always put me off and so never even gave it a chance.

It really couldn't be further from that. It's one of the most well written shows I've ever watched and has some shockingly honest moments that will make your jaw drop. While it has a comedic bent and appearance, underneath it's extremely dark and without the comedy it would be a very tough watch indeed.

The first half of S1 is a little average; the second half gets good, after they find their feet. S2 onwards is outstanding. If the first few episodes of S1 don't immediately grab you, stick with it.

Even the intro to the show is clever. The real implication of it didn't hit me until I was in S3. Bit of a slow burner to say the least.

The tv programme where there's a lady with next to nothing on lying on a bed and they want to you to call them with their number on the screen. I think its a late night show.
    Don't know what it's called..........:p

I don't recommend this - it's cost me the other side of £5800Bn and all I keep getting is an endless stream of delusional "promises" and no real "action". I'm thinking of pulling out.

Like I said above, first half of S1 is a bit disjointed; it takes until about halfway through the series to start picking up. S2 onwards is great throughout.

Also bear in mind it's a very black comedy, to say the least.

"Stranger Things" - another Netflix discovery, but this one is one we're watching with the 12 yr old. Only a few episodes in, but enjoying it so far - seems like a cross between Poltergeist, Close Encounters and The Goonies.

Has anybody watched Maniac yet? Looks promising.

Killing Eve has been excellent so far. The girl who plays the baddie actually scares me. Ballers is ideal if you want something on in the background as you don't really need to concentrate. Kids TV, The Thundermans is very good
