Malm* v Midtjylland in the Europa League. Malm* itself was a pretty uninspiring place, but the noise at the stadium was probably the loudest I've experienced. At times it was deafening and the kids were complaining it was too loud. So much better than the premier league, but then so are the games I've been to in Austria, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Holland. The football however was pretty poor. 2-2 after Malm* were 2-0 up. Championship standard really and I expect Midtjylland to comfortably go through. Another country where you can drink in your seat and the Malm* fans showered the away fans in beer and plastic glasses when the away team scored. On the train back to Copenhagen, cursing the Swede's stupid booze buying restrictions.
The answer is "no idea" on both counts. Got the train back sat next to some Midtjylland fans and didn't hear them actually say it, so I don't think even they know how to pronounce it.
Something like Midyewlan I think. I once saw a Danish Superliga match. It was 0-0 and dreadful, but when you went through the turnstiles you were greeted by tables full of Carlsberg bottles. Along one side was a Swindon-like all-seater stand; on the other three sides there were open terraces just 3 steps deep.
At least Dyche is changing his tune and not blaming the officials....oh wait...yes he is again. At least the stats show they deserved something out of the game...oh wait...no they don't. Possession Home 68% Away 32% Shots Home 17 Away 3 Shots on Target Home 6 Away 1 Corners Home 7 Away 2 Fouls Home 15 Away 18 Said this before and I'll say it again...Dyche is fecking deluded and so glad we fecked him off. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45278531
Looks like anything other than a win would have been embarassing for us; based upon their recent form in both European and league matches
It does beg the question why anyone would want to jeopardise their league position to play in the Europa League (much as I'd love us to have another European jolly at some stage).
Trouble is there were many games with stats like that over the last 2 seasons where they have walked away with a victory. He has got used to being played off the park and still winning.
I'd love a European jolly, but aside from the impact on the domestic football itself, an afternoon in Malm* taught me that some away trips would require the best part of a grand. On the flip side, you could end up somewhere dirt cheap in eastern Europe, but run the risk of having your head caved in by some steroid fuelled nutter or stabbed like one of the Burnley fans in Greece last night.
