I can only imagine that the reason Quina was registered but Penaranda wasn't is because Quina counts as HomeGrown and we needed to fulfil the registered quota and Quina counts towards that, hence why Penaranda isn't registered. That is just conjecture though, I haven't seen the official squad list.
Perhaps we are trying to register him as Graham Wilkins an under 21 with a birth certificate "sourced" by our ex chairman.
The plot thickens. Watford Observer have pulled that story. I think final squad lists are still September 1st. If he's not available then... I guess that's it for our Venezuelan
It makes sense he's not registered. The Premier League banned Venezuelan's from all grounds after the annoying humming noise they made during the World Cup in South Africa.
I think we've got a good chance if that's the case - someone would have to be stark-raving mad to want to join us.
It's not been a good month for the wobby. Everytime they actually publish something newsworthy they either have to delete it or reverse their conclusion within 24 hrs !
I rather think I have, bless him. My flag also had a packet of Walkers Cheese and Onion superglued to it,in honour of Chas. That took some removing I can tell you!
Maybe you should hoist a Yellow Fever On Board flag outside IBB Towers to annoy Himself. It will work until we change our colours back to blue and white
you don't have to count under 21s in either category - they are extra - whether home grown or overseas i don't get the problem as we seemed certain he would get the permit before Xmas last year - a bit of candid communication please Mr Duxbury - we are paying customers after all !!

Could it be that he has applied for a Spanish passport and that is still pending? So he's over here on a normal visitors visa and has also applied for a work visa whilst here? Would explain why he's allowed to train with the team but not actually play any games? I don't know? Just a guessing at this point now!
No idea but if it’s so black and white that it’s definite he had no chance to play here this season it makes the decision to bring him here even more baffling? ♂️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This may be complete and utter nonsense, however, I thought I had read somewhere (no memory of where or when, probably here) that he would qualify for a Spanish passport after 2 years as long as there was no break of longer than 6 months consecutively. It then went on to say that he was only in Italy for 5 months so qualification should be unaffected. If so he should still be OK for an EU passport? I may have dreamed this but normally my dreams are more exciting and less administratively detailed so don't think I did. On that basis I have no idea what is going on!
A little more detail on your dreamworld, SoOK, might flush out the forum's resident Freudians & their longtime & bitter rivals, the Jungians.
I think I annoy him sufficiently without that but I'll give it a go! Do you know I haven't got one but must correct that, especially given the rise of Tsitsipas. Up the Greeks!
Posted a video on Instagram the other that appeared to be in some sort of sunny holiday destination. Given up and sent him packing then?
Apparently the passport rules over there are quite strict. Cocktails every lunchtime and shots on demand, or the applications is unlikely to be granted. He's got a tough few weeks ahead.
Spanish transfer window closes tomorrow evening. Guess we'll find out how confident the club are that they can resolve whatever the issue is if he's still here when it closes...
Well it looks like he is staying, they must be confident that he'll get his passport or permit soon, otherwise they are wasting this kids career
I presume this is looking bleak. I guess we have to loan him out in January and then try to cut our losses by selling him to La Liga.
Would the potential new guidelines under Brexit with regards to EU/non-EU work permit limit our chances of getting him to play for us reduce even further?
It targets unskilled labour. I think you could argue that some of our signings have been unskilled in the Pozzo era so perhaps it will.
