My views on Wolves are well documented.
They are still a newly promoted team, throwing together lots of randoms doesn't guarantee a good season.
Plus they are an odious club

I just really dislike them already as everyone is going on about how great they will be

Yes i would be devastated if we were throwing together "randoms" like Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho. They will sink like a stone.

What I will do is put £5 on them doing well and if they do I am happy.
If they don't Ill be smug and happy also

Are they "bad for British football "?

They'll be playing in red and green soon.

  9. Well that does have a certain 'je ne sais quoi'...

Does it say 'come on Bully' on the back?!

  11. Not quite...

That probably translates as 'come on Bully' in Black Country dialect.

Wolves are a snapshot of all that's wrong with modern football

    Which is what exactly?

But it doesn't guarantee success either. Eager to see how Wolves and West Ham start the season.

It certainly feels like a lot of the competition have zoomed past us this summer. Our recruitment team need to up their game and address our obvious squad shortcomings.

No but adding 2 high quality players to your squad for very little upfront fee is more likely to improve performance isn't it ?

In theory yes. But in reality no not always. Plus I can't honestly see them getting the keeper for nothing.

Premier league is splitting in 3 now. Leicester/Wolves/West Ham/Saints/Everton moving into their own mini league in my opinion.

How have you come to that conclusion? Money spent?

Moutinho was always touted as the next great midfielder, yet he has never really done much with his career. Soon to turn 32, and Monaco were happy to let him go for £5m?

Wolves have a large collection of talented players, all of whom lack any real experience of playing at the top level. I don't quite see why they are so heavily fancied to take the division by storm.

Entirely right. We may as well give up. Spending lots of money on fancy Dan foreigners equals success

This league, as we all know, is entirely decided by whether you have a superagent and how much you spend. Just look at how Moshiri pushed Everton from somewhere in the top 6 to a solid top 8 club having judiciously spent millions filling the squad with expensive midfielders. How Leicester spent the most in that season they won the league. How stupid Burnley with their low cost cloggers consistently come 20th each season. When Sunderland spent the 12th most in the league and certainly didn't end up finishing 20th. Spurs and Arsenal by balancing their books frugally each year go from one relegation battle to the next.

Wolves and Southampton? One team has only just been promoted and the other nearly went down.

  25. Not another ******* imaginary league for knickerwetters to panic about. FFS

No but haven't you heard? Wolves are going to win the league by playing their superagent and a geriatric player from Monaco

The fact is the league table in all divisions is heavily influenced by wage bill. We can’t compete with some of the mid table rivals now unfortunately so the odds are against us.

Wolves are investing heavily as our Southampton. Southampton had their scare but won’t come close again.

I’m not expecting us to follow suit. I’m merely making observations so I don’t know why people are getting upset about stating facts. (Not aimed at you)

Wage bills as a result of those signings.

Of course they will be outliers but in terms of wages we are at a disadvantage. And suggesting Arsenal and Spurs are somehow budget endeavours is rather bizarre.

Arsenal fans have bemoaned the lack of spending for years. We will see what the end of the season brings us.
Not a personal attack at you. Im just fed up hearing about wolves and it's hot

I think there have been more clubs across all the division that have taken the Wolves approach (or a variation on that theme) and flopped than those who have thrived. For me it's too early to predict where they'll end up.

Beat me to it. I heard on the radio last night a discussion on Wolves finishing in the top 8 or possibly the top 6! The GK looks a really good signing but the lad from Monaco is 31 and the PL is lightly different to playing in France. Somewhat limiting themselves to buying players from one country can't help them either. This love in for Wolves is beginning to get on my nerves before the season has started, I kind of hope they struggle

It’s not about transfer fees thought it’s about wages and Arsenal wages dwarf many others.

I hope they struggle as well but if you were doing a bet on who would finish higher between us and then before a ball was kicked you’d need a decent price to back us.
