Another thumbs up for our kit - seems to be proving popular. https://www.90min.com/posts/6121755...=cardiff&utm_campaign=Cardiff+City&ref=1.html
And I quote: “It looks quite good, it must be said, but that doesn't excuse the fact that all of Watford's players will look like wasps running around the pitch...” Err, is this ironic or are they just being dim?
Hornets are fairly rare even in the south of England. The New Forest is a stronghold and the current dry summer should suit them. They are big compared to a wasp and not as bright. I have only seen 2 or 3 in my lifetime and they are impressive for an insect in a similar way to large dragonflies. I am starting to look forward to the new Green Hornet away kit in a strange sort of way. It might not be a hit on the pitch but could be OK to knock around in without shouting 'football colours'. 10 pound in the bargain bin at the end of the season? PS - some of the EPL shirts are OK but are ruined by the sponsor's logo. Thankfully although nobody knows who they are our sponsors are one of the least embarrassing.
Does anyone remember way back when GT stated that the Watford shirt would not be sullied by a sponsor’s logo? At least he tried...
Had two Hornets in our house this summer already. Frantically checked the internet both times in case they were Asian ones. The European ones are in the words of Danny Dyer "proper".
I've lied - forgive me. The Geordie adult top is £64.99 and it has a player's name and number, to have that on ours is £15 extra so, in effect out top is a penny dearer than theirs.
I do like that Fulham shirt, got a nice late 90's feel to kit. Man Utd if they really have gone for black shorts is bizarre
We scored about 10th, our standard premier league position, amiright?! The reviewer gave the plain blue boring lesta kit 10/10 so I'm not inclined to give that article too much credit.
Its confirmed green - the club in a quality move has provided free shirts to all fans that have been to all 19 away games. Classy move!
Don’t like it being green. Call me boring but I like black or red (or both) away kits. Of course these days our home kits are more and more black, effectively ruling out a black away kit. A big issue I have with this years home kit. Oh well, 0 for 2 this season. Better luck next year.
I remember hearing this low hum coming from the bathroom window. Ford and Arthur looked at me,I looked at them and then I went towards the window. It was very big and after a moment of 'urgh' I ushered it out of the open window with the minutes from a committee meeting! It was an impressive creature but the noise was quite sinister.
Red shorts, yellow socks a la Cameroon? Would be pretty cool and doubt it'd clash too much with anyone.
I believe the away kit is yellow stripes on a black background vs the awful black stripes on a yellow shirt for the home kit. Marginally better.
When my Bhoy's supporting Jock mate's Litho-team (FK Vetra) moved "stadium*" from Trakai to Vilnius they also changed colours from green/white to yellow/black and all season ticket holders** were given new tops, scarves and hats. To balance this up - I was told that I would have to support Zalgaris (who incidently hammered the mighty KI of Iceland 3-2 on aggregate yesterday to progress to the next Europa league round). *From something like a municipal sports ground to the "magnificent" LFF Stadium in Vilnius. ** About 20.
Looks like the Rapid Vienna shirt I bought after I went to watch them. Also a bit reminiscent of the mid-90s away with Blaupunkt on it.
Love the green colour but hate that we have used a generic Adidas template like Leicester and loads of other teams. A green coloured version of the home shirt would have looked great.
Received tickets yesterday for the Sampdoria game & I noticed a new betting sponsor at the bottom of the ticket called MoPlay. Would imagine they've replaced 138.com and likely to be our new shirt sleeve sponsors.
I'm tempted to buy one and have 'Lord Percy Percy, heir to the Duchy of Northumberland' on the back. It would need to be very small letters though!
Correct, but it was before that. The first shirt sponsorships (in this country) were just coming in and GT was dead against it. It would probably have been around 1980/81. Then commercialism swamped us all....
My brother missed out only going to 18 away matches last season. as a result two complete away kits have turned up.
Personally think the kit looks pretty nice but I wish it wasn't the same pattern template as every Adidas keeper shirt in 2018. I like the lime piping and the sponsor doesn't get in the way like it does on the home shirt. Should be fun watching us in green for a season.
I only care about the away strip so I know which colour I'm supporting when I watch in a dodgy stream
