Well the Aussies could do with some good sporting news!

    Probably right though.

I do get the impress despite the Murray success and positive attention it has brought British tennis the LTA aren't exactly best buddies with the family with the examples you've given.

    Just so!
Before Murray won Wimbledon Mr IBB proposed him for membership of the AELTC,even though Andy treats him as if he's something unpleasant on his shoe.
    He was accepted.
Andy has never said 'thank you',infact 'please' and 'thank you' seem to be absent from Judy and Andy's vocabulary. Jamie is much better.
Lots of people at the LTA have been very supportive of Judy's clan, emotionally and financially. They're not all bumbling old idiots.

Looks like Halep might be the only top 10 seed left in the ladies!

What does that say about them...

Those outside the top 10 are pretty much on a par with those inside it?

Quite possibly the rest of the tour has caught up.
If you look at the major winners of late they are fairly evenly spread: Woz,Stephens,Halep.
Serena having a baby has helped too!
Zverev on his escapology act again,as at RG.
    Tsitsipas rolling on through too!

Halep out having been 4-1 up in the 3rd set !

    Pretty easy for Rafa.

Hseih is a very awkward player.
Someone may die in Zverev v Gulbis encounter,no love lost here!

I'm amazed that a sitcom connoisseur like IBB hasn't watched Friends. Too much tennis, not enough TV, madam

You can never have too much tennis!
Possibly the worst piece of umpiring ever by Jake Garner in Joker v Edmund fourth set,Certainly worthy of Fergus Murphy, who sounds identical to 'Blue' in 'Top Cat'. I believe the actor was also in 'The Odd Couple'.
Zverev tied in knots by the praying mantis that is Gulbis. Tsitsipas looks the more rounded player of the two I think.

I see Wimbledon have said the time of the Men's final will not change even if England get to the the final .

They will be hoping Nadal doesn't get to the final as he wastes so much time fiddling around !

A Federer v non Djokovic or Nadal final would probably nearly be over in 2 hours !

People have prepared and eaten supper in less time than those two spend bouncing the ruddy ball.
I have never understood how it helps. The more you bounce the more time you have to fret. Two bounces for me every time.

All big boys still going strong.Looking good for Serena and her version of Nora Batty's stockings!

So its the 3 big servers and Roger left on one side of the draw.

Wimbledon will be hoping as likely that Federer gets through then!

Isner on a bit of a roll, having never made the second week before.Don't think Anderson has enough to go any further but I'm a rotten tipper!

I think Ostapenko is the only player remaining who can challenge Serena.
I saw a few games of Kasatkina v Kerber and the young Russian is such a talent, her angles and drop shots were, at times, sublime.
I'm watching the Murray/Soares v Klaasen/Venus match and Raven Klaasen is immense. If Venus could return serve they would be off by now.
I should like to be named Raven!

Sunday could be one of my favourite days of all time if Federer wins Wimbledon (ideally by thrashing Nadal) and England win the World Cup.

WillisWasTheWorst Its making less grammar mistake's thats important

Having seen some of her match on TV today, Kasatkina is my new favourite tennis player. Great ‘touch’ shots like the players of old, coupled with a strong serve and booming forehand. Surely she will win some big tournaments soon.

    I do hope so Willis.
She is also silent when playing, which is a bit of a boon in comparison to the majority on the WTA tour!

13-11t in the 5th having been 2 up.

Poor Isner and Raonic might be playing front of a half full CC as the football will be on soon.

Oh dear Federer. Looked knackered by the end and his forehand was appalling.

We're now condemned to one of Anderson, Raonic or Isner in the final. Puke.

Wimbledon will be gutted - even less chance of people watching the Men's final.

Even if England don't do it tonight Croatia v France sounds more appealing than one of them v Nadal/Djokovic.

Superb match between Rafa and Del Potro, both deserved to win.
The great man's forehand can disconnect, but usually on clay v Rafa. Beginning of the end perhaps,no one can defeat time.

Sadly it doesn’t look as though that’s going to happen.

Unless one of PotGuy’s dreams tells us otherwise.

My mate was involved in the setting up of Vilnius's first squash club. For some reason Judy Murray turned up (PR or as a consultant - I can't rememberer which) and all that my extremely diplomatic friend would say about the experience was that she was "...extremely challenging..." to deal/work with.

Through my work with disability sports I've had dealings with the "Frightfully Grand" Tanni Grey-Thompson - she's an absolute cow.

There is going to be British interest on finals weekend with Dart and Clarke facing Murray and Azarenka in the Mixed Doubles semi finals .

Yes indeed,I'm not in the least bit surprised. She was a Medusa type figure in matches too.
You would think it would be Murray and Azarenka, too much nous but you never know!
Not sure Kerber has enough to stop Serena but I hope she can.

I've been a supporter of a super tie break when it gets to 9 all in grand slams for a while.
