Stevohorn posted this pic in the history thread a while back of Gatting lining up for our youth team in 72/73 (on the left):
Would have liked Simeone. Lemina might have linked well with his old team mate Pererya but has blown hot and cold. Ndidi has not completely adapted to the EPL yet but I prefer Doucoure. Scott Who?
in 2004, he joined Watford academy for a four to six-week trial before he was given another chance at Tottenham aged eleven.
I think the Pozzo's will regret allowing Meret to slip out of their network. We need a keeper and will develop him into a £50m asset. Why sell him now?
There’s never been a keeper who cost more than £35m. Not even City spent that much on a GK. De Gea was only going to Madrid for around £40m. To think that we could make Meret worth that much is a bit of a stretch, even if he is talented.
Every report I’ve seen says he’s on the verge of going to Napoli for £22m. So based on that, they aren’t going to turn down having £22m in the bank and give him to us or even let us have him for half that. And we won’t be spending £22m on him. Plus, it’s extremely likely he would rather play for Napoli over us anyway given he can stay in his home country and play in the CL.
Carrillo's been absolutely ******* dreadful, Hamptonites hate him. He hasn't even scored a goal. Sounds perfect to fit in with our stable of strikers.
£19m for him to last 6 months, not score a goal and not even fetch a fee when offloading him. That’s financial mismanagement at its finest!
