That would be the biggest **** you ever and it would be so beautiful. Go on Stoke, don't play a keeper. Put the under 16s out there. Swansea did beat Notts County 8-1 a few months back!
With Southampton winning and Huddersfield picking up a point, it's squeaky bum time for all of us Hornets as we go to Man Utd needing a result! I don't think our bunch of foreigners have the cajones for a fight, sadly and I can see us needing snookers. I hope the team put their football boots on, rather than the moccasin slippers we seem to be wearing at the minute!
Evidently for all the talk of 10 goal swings, Swansea know their race is run, Carvalhal is leaving at the end of the season
Swansea down but they made the most of their time by winning a cup and going on a european tour. I bet none of them would swap that for our position.
On that note, why do Sky insist on showing the abject misery of fans, especially young fans? I felt uncomfortable watching the poor wretches being comforted by their mothers as the end of their match approached. However I would have laughed my way to the carrots, if it had been Palace!
Its unlikely anyway but have Swansea admitted defeat in their battle for stay up by announcing the change in management.
Too right Fam. I can't believe after the start we had, that we're going into the last day relying on others for the points we need, but the experts on here predicted it weeks ago and I'm the first to eat humble pie and admit I didn't see it coming, you hear me Blud?
Only West Ham have a worse defence than Stoke and Swansea did beat them 4-1, whilst Man City smashed us, a better team than Southampton, 6-0 away. That 10-goal swing is still extremely unlikely to happen but it'll be interesting to see how close Swansea get to closing the GD gap.
In order to make things more interesting on Sunday, Swansea will be invoking the spirit of Llewellyn ap Gruffuth and Gareth Edwards, swapping their goals for rugby posts and adopting Union scoring "to close the GD gap". Mind you, the way Stoke have played this season, they won't know the difference and will lose 55-3 (scoring a late penalty - hit over the bar by Bojan). Sadly for the Swans,Southampton will draw with City. I will now go for a nice lie down.
It's all very well being flippant, but you'd have looked pretty silly if that exact combination of 30 results had happened.
Southampton now out to 100/1 for relegation with the bookies. It's fine quoting it but everyone knows long shots like that always come in.
I look pretty silly anyway, I'm wearing a banana suit * (*N.B This is some sort of in-joke that only Femboy1 really understands, but I don't mind playing along - sort of like, my contribution to his care in the community)
The thing is, is not a joke. Why deny the truth? There are still quite a lot of us still on the forum that remember you like dressing up as a banana to watch your beloved Watford. Nothing wrong with that. I actually like bananas. Dressing like a banana is one thing, but I'm glad you don't let your mum fight your battles anymore. I used to find it hilarious when Gymgirl used to pop up to defend you.
Exactly, he does what the ghastly Lineker does, waving his arms to show he’s the big one when, in fact, they are the arms of a midget.
Quite a few Yorkies on here but looking for scraps about their once callow heroes, Pudil, Abdi & Fessorama. Mainly from Sheffield, though.
We seemed to be 10th for about 4 months. Maybe a Troy slomo running thing like in a Sky ad or something.
Did anyone predict we would go down ? I think a handful of posters Inc me just kept reminding the complacent among us that it was still possible. Anyway we are definitely going down next season.
Don't get too complacent mate, season's not over yet. We still need a result on Sunday to be absolutely certain of safety.
William Webb Ellis invented rugby in 1823 & you have reinvented it 195 years later. He was a clergyman & you inhabit a vicarage. Eerie.
Saw it at 120-1 on Betfair so worth a cheeky £2, (my multiples have been utterly useless this season). If Stoke decide to lay down then I think those odds would be generous.
Too late pal. I've just voted. Can't believe us getting anything on Sunday so we are as good as down as far as I'm concerned.
