Nearly everyone is saying the defence is our priority, but I disagree, we need someone to put the ******* ball in the net end of!

Shane Long if Southampton go down? Not a bad player and at least knows where the goal is. I would ship Deeney off in his place and keep Gray for the simple reason there is something about him, but nobody can get him the confidence or game time he needs.

I'd even settle for Jermain Defoe despite his age, because at least he scores goals unlike our ******* so called strikers

We need to lose Deeney. The club has been rancid for the last 2 years under his captaincy and his displays have been dreadful.

I said before Christmas I’d honestly rather have any of the 3 first choice strikers from any prem or top half champ team than gray and deeney

To be honest, the site would not let me post the thread without a "Prefix" so I thought that that was the best of the available options to fill the space.

I think that maybe this "Prefix" thing needs to be done away with, does anyone else agree?

    I agree.
Our failure to take our chances or not create any puts the defence under pressure and the chopping and changing exacerbates the problem.
Equally we have missed NC and TC shielding the back four.
A perfect storm really. Matches slip away and confidence drops.
I too would remove TD as captain.
I don't think he is certain to start and he's no Mike Brearley as a leader. he just moans at his team or the ref. That's not leadership it's petulance but then I'm only a fan so I know jack!

Would help if TD thought more about his football/fitness and less about becoming a media Diva

Shane Long hasn't been that successful for Southampton this season, therefore I don't think he could be the main man, but he does seem to know where the goal is!

Wouldn't want to pay much for him, but not my money so what do I know!

You could have the best goalscorer in the world. Our problem, especially yesterday is that we didn't create any chances. The play was very negative. At least Huddersfield had a go at us and quite frankly they were toss too.

No no no, no! It's Deeney's fault remember. Because he wants to have a career after football. The ****.

Nonsense... a big part of that is because our midfielders look up and constantly see TD walking about, being comfortably marked. He is so easy for the opposition to take out the game it's unreal, he can't move in to space and poses no threat at all.

He has not scored an away goal since January 2017...

Give Kabasele a go instead of Deeney. He started his career as a striker.
    Surely cannot do any worse!

Actually, have to say I disagree here. We're the 8th highest scorers in the prem and thats with the ineffective strike force we've had this season. We havent dropped so many points this season because we cant score, they were dropped because we continuously give away soft late goals - normally from a mistake.

Thats not to say a striker isnt required pretty urgently, but having a fit & healthy back line that is up to the task is hugely important

Kevin Lasagna from Udinese could be a quick fix. Very much a Vydra type striker, looks good

Considering the current mood of the Udinese fans, having Lasagna in Watford would cause the Pozzo's more than a stomach ache.

Sack off Deeney and Gray, buy Mariano Diaz and hope Cucho gets a work permit. 30 goals a season.
