He scored a cracker the other night too. Missed the first half of the season after Cleverley landed on him in that Pre-season game last summer. Guess Leeds still feel they ought to be in the Premier league...
Yeah. A risk I guess but if villa fail to go up then could be a few prem clubs in for him. Could be a bargain like hughes.
£15m isn't even a risk is it? If it doesn't work out you'd probably still get that back from a top 10 championship club in January!
Exactly. I’d he flops sell back to a championship promotion chaser for 10m+. It’s why the Andre Gray buy has little risk.
Ground looks shockingly empty tonight for a London derby with both teams in wit a chance of promotion. Is there a fan limit reason or something?
When I read that, I thought Millwall still in with a chance of promotion? Surely you're joking or have muddled them with up with another team? Remarkably, no to both of the above - they seem to have sneaked in the promotion mix from nowhere...
First defeat since January 1st tonight. After their antics last year at Wembley and a few years back the authorities are probably hoping Millwall miss out.
I'd forgotten they'd been promoted so recently - so it could be back-to-back promotions like us in 1997-99!
Lesson to all clubs dropping down from premier league? Sunderland down, can't be many that have suffered twice without having a points deduction https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43762308
Surely Wolves were relegated from the Premier League in 2012 and then from the Championship in 2013 without any points deductions?
Wolves have done it twice, 2012 and early/mid 80s... actually didn't they have three successive relegations then from the top to bottom tier? Bristol City did it too in the early 80s.
Forgot about Wolves, how Villa and the other Midland teams probably laughed when that happened...how times change!
Bitter sweet for me tonight. Boro are in my pre season accy to finish top 6 and all the other teams are all easily in so this makes things tight, but great to see Fulham in with a chance to finish 2nd and knock the Colin Taffs into the play offs.
