Issue there is that I feel we need some pace at the back although guess Britos would actually just clear the ball and put himself about - maybe too much! Lawro doesn't have us down to lose - is that a good thing? Merson reckons 2-1 to the Terriers.
I'd go for an attacking four of: Richarlison Pereyra Hughes Femenia I reckon Richarlison would enjoy playing with three clever footballers behind him and our movement would be pretty good. He's also far more of a threat from crosses than Deeney and can run in behind.
Make or break for the Head Coach tomorrow, if he doesn't get at least a point he'll probably be off in the Summer. I'd start Cathcart and Kabasele in the middle of defence, the rest are shambolic. Kiko and Janmaat alongside them. Hughes Doucoure in front, with Preyera in front of them. Richarlison and Carrillo on the wings and Okaka up front. When attacking on one wing the opposite winger will need to push in and help Okaka up front. Huddersfield 3-0 Watford
Agree with all this. If we don't get at least a draw tomorrow questions will be asked of the manager & the players. I do have a hunch we will win this though. Think it will be an open game, if anything like last week there will be lots of chances & both gunning to win this. Hudd 1 Watford 3. Personally i'd really like to see Gomes brought back in for this, always motivates the players & a much bigger personality & on field presence than Karnezis.
Hughes in defensive midfield? What a waste. Richarlison, hmmm, on present form. And what has Carrillo ever done for us?
This could work, despite my doubts about Richie'a form. And if it doesn't, we could bring on the fans' no. 1 fan.
Not looking forward to this one - expecting us to lose so will be avoiding all streaming sites like the plague. I'll probably be with this lot, occasionally popping my head over the wall, fearfully checking for score updates though...
As Capt Picard would say: "I've got a baaaad feeling about this!" Like last season we will lose basically all our remaining games without ever being close to relegation. Happy to write this season off and look forward to the World Cup, then begin 2018/19 with renewed optimism. As for the match: Huddersfield 8-1 Watford Hogg (78, 81, 82, 86, 89, 90+1, 90+3, 90+6); Pereyra (53)
Surely that should be "I've got a baaaad feeling about this number one!" I suspect he was having trouble with his prostate.
apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what has Carrillo done for us?
Watford will lose, Deeney will be slated, defence will be destroyed, Huddersfield keeper will have a completely clean kit, Warner will graciously say it was a hard fought game, while holding back the laughter, Gracia will say we’ll learn from mistakes, and Mapps will say we must do better at the back.
What are you on about. "Ive got a bad feeling about this" and variants there of are associated with Wars not Trek http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/I_have_a_bad_feeling_about_this
Not sure I would start with Okaka as would likely need to replace b4 halftime assuming he can manage prob 30 - 45 mins. Would be tempted to give a Gray Or Richarlison a go upfront. TBH - our options upfront are the worse in division and surely Richie cannot be worse than Deeney last week
If we were to lose all the rest then we wouldn't be. But we won't. So can we please win this one then and save us all from another round of hb1's in-depth, squeaky-bum analysis.
Even though last season we only won 3 I saw us win at West Ham but none of the other 4. This season we have already won more but I have seen 3 defeats so like you I am beginning to feel jinxed if my attendance tomorrow doesn’t bring a win. Failing that my only other chance is Spurs away
In the 1-4 game earlier this season, Huddersfield hadn't scored in 8 away games until that point. Fast forward to April - we haven't scored in 6 away games. Any chance the football gods will balance it out, and at least let us score 3 (without letting in more than 2)??!! I don't care if there's an own goal, a shinner from 30 yards along the ground, Holebas fists it in to their net, a deflection off Troy's arse, one of Janmaat's dodgy crosses goes in the top corner just like Doyley's, or Karnezis channels his inner Sherwood and scores from a goal kick - as long as we bloody score!!!!! Whatever state the defence is in - we won't win without a goal.
151 on the forums right now. 119 guests, just 23 members. 119 guests ?? From oooddersfield ? Plus 9 robots (presumably all MOOG ?)
Probably the bigger clubs scouting for new forum members , have heard that little old watford is where it’s at
After scanning the other contenders in my head, I reckon we are joint bottom with Stoke and Newcastle. Newcastle have had to rely on Joselu and Dwight Gayle for a season, which is insane, and Slimani definitely doesn't count; they're lucky they've hit the jackpot with all singing, all dancing Kenedy on loan to save them. Stoke, to my mind, can boast Choupo-Moting, Berahino and Jese, all of whom are varying levels of disastrous. They used to have Mame Biram Diouf, but somewhere along the line someone decided he was actually a wingback.
