Not sure if this is the right place for this thread but here goes, I've purchased a spot for my son to experience the day running out the tunnel with the golden boys against Bournemouth at the end of the month. Has anyone on here done this or know anything about the package?

I know there has been a lot of attention on how much some clubs charge. I think West Ham charge £750 for the day against a Cat A team.
One of the little lads that sit behind me was a mascot earlier this season or possibly last season.
    I shall text his gran.

Beekayess Junior was a mascot away at Derby 8 or 9 years ago. He loved it, and the team and manager (Malky) were brilliant with him.

Sadly we lost the match, but it was a great day out.

When I did yonks ago the club provided kit for the day but I think you have to buy the whole lot yourself now.

I enquired for my son when we were in the Championship, it was £150 a pop then, I imagine that it would be a lot more now. Long gone are the days when Ann Swanson ran the Junior Hornets in the 80s and being a mascot was free, they just drew out a name of a junior hornet from a hat.

I confirm that the club did not provide Beekayess Junior with his kit.

Junior Diamond did this years and years ago in the Boothroyd days. The players and boss were excellent towards her. She told me Danny Shittu had the best aftershave. They got stuffed so as a mascot she was pretty poor.

We are expecting a Daly style swallow dive from Foxy Junior as he trots out beside Wilson, Arter & the rest of them.

Harry should be able to give tips in the warm up.

    Have a fantastic day!

Thanks for all your input guys, for the record this season it's £250 cat a fixtures £200 the rest apart from the GT friendly at the start of the year that was £150 I believe. We have to buy a full kit ourselves, the money the club receives goes straight back into the community trust. Foxy junior is nearly as excited as me for the big day and RookeryDad I wouldn't put it past him doing something to amuse us

That's encouraging that it's not too much of an increase from Otter's post.
I'm pleased to hear the money is recycled into the community trust.
I hope foxy minor enjoys his day!

What an experience, worth £200 ? To us it was as we don't have the opportunity to have a season ticket or go to any games but as a special present my son loved it so I don't regret any of it. Showed around the changing rooms, players lounge and media rooms in the SEJ with none of the first team players present. Passed some of the medical team and I told them what most of us think of them. Met Chris Kamara who was there with sky sports in the media suite seemed a nice guy. Then the mascots got to go and see the team for autographs but they don't allow the adults to accompany them. The parents get to hang around the dug out and if and when a player decides to check the conditions and pitch out you may get the opportunity to grab an autograph/picture with them. I got the chance to meet Troy, Mapps Doucoure and Javi from WFC Eddy Wow and john Yems (coach) from AFCB. Out of the Watford lads Doucoure seemed a nice lad Troy was busy but Mapps had a lot of time for me my lad and everyone there even at the end he came over and gave his shirt to a young supporter. I also picked John Yems brains and got some coaching tips from him and had a very good conversation with him I'd of tried getting some advice from the Watford coaches but I don't speak Spanish. One of the guys who was running the mascot day did explain that some of these players these days expect royal treatment and not to expect much from them. However another mention for Adrian Mariappa great guy.
