Probably because the Premier League was on at the same time. Stops the fans from going to the smaller clubs.
Sunderland were lucky to get a point out of that game even if for large periods of time they were the dominant side. Derby's kit is awful.
Wolves top - any articles about them being bad for the game? After all most of their team consists of players with a link to to the same agent in Jorge Mendes who had a relationship with the Wolves owners..
I really thought when we went up that I'd still pay a lot of attention to the championship as one of the most exciting and open leagues in Europe. Must say though that my own interest can pretty much be summed by this thread! Anyway, sides going down vs sides coming up. Wba Stoke? Southampton/Palace/West Ham? Wolves Cardiff? Villa? Boro? All 3 promoted last year staying up. Wolves will be strong coming up and probably tougher than wba and stoke and I think any of the other 2 would be harder than Stoke so I fear it will be a stronger Premier league next year.
Fulham are in sensational form and on a run eerily very similar to us under Joka when we went up automatically.
Unfortunately I think it will be Wolves, Villa and Boro through the playoffs. Fulham are on a great run and Joka has worked miracles but i think they left it too late this season getting out of second gear.
Cardiff and Warnock to get promoted ? He'd have a few things to say I am sure given not so long ago Colin said he hated the Premier league .
Our Serbian compadre is incredible on how he achieves that. Think win. And the team does! Somewhat in contrast to the complacency of the Man Unite tonight. Flaccid Mourinho, excrescent Pogba. A circus act beside Slav’s winning machine.
Were in neutral. Now 4 wins and a draw in the last 5, Pulis has found turbo boost. They will definitely finish top 6 and won't suffer the same regret and expectancy pressure as AV & F for having missed the top 2 slots (it looks like i may be wrong about AV passing Cardiff).
This is league One rather than Championship, but didn't think it warranted it's own thread - a Charlton fan has put together a brief (or perhaps not) account of how they've ended up with Bowyer as their new manager/coach. I didn't realise things were so bad there. Very surprised Mr Morals himself fatty Samuel hasn't labelled the owner as "everything that's wrong with the game". Have a quick read - it's shocking.......
It is a dreadful example of how not to run a club. Put in that time line it is difficult not to feel sympathy for CAFC fans. There but for the grace of God....
It was between us and Charlton but the Harefield Academy was the deal clincher that sold them on Watford iirc
Blimey - what an ending to the Cardiff c Wolves game . Cardiff missed TW0 penalties in injury time !!! No wonder Warnock wasn't too keen to shake hands at the end.
Anyone good at lip reading? Wasn't quite sure what Warnock was saying when Santo was trying to shake his hand . What an absolute tosser Warnock was with that reaction. Lovely sportsmanship by a British manager there. Really glad Cardiff stuffed it up now.
Oh I don't know - the report I read implied Warnock was angry at the Wolves contingent's celebrations at the final whistle. Warnock repeatedly shouts "**** off" at Santo as he tries to shake his hand - and then claims the Wolves manager should have "better manners". Now that, Alanis Morisette, really is ironic.
I think so - like against Middlesbrough the other day the Wolves team and management all rushed on to celebrate with each other which upset Pulis then as well. Mind you as HH24 says not sure Warnock can cry wolf about bad manners and being sporting! Of course he would have just stood there clapping politely had Cardiff scored one of their penalties.
Well Neves is rated as one of the best young players in European football - let alone the Championship and this is an example of that talent: https://twitter.com/PaulMaskew/status/984158129851191298/video/1
Can't say I've watched Villa much this season to comment on his overall seaaon but Grealish has been awesome tonight.
I’ve seen him a few times this year and he’s been fantastic. The worry is he is a championship superstar and no more like Tom Ince.
