The ‘Cojones’ derby... The game I always look forward to since being in the PL. The main reasons being that I love seeing Arsenal Fan TV and Piers Morgan meltdowns post-match. After their recent exploits/failures, coupled with the game being sandwiched between their matches against AC Milan, there really is no excuse to not to go at them this weekend. They will be extremely fragile in their minds, certainly defensively. That being said, I expect Gracia to still set us up to play tightly, perhaps opening up as the game continues. But we should recognise it might not be as easy as being portrayed - it’s still Arsenal, with some dangerous players and their poor form has been mainly away from home. That being said, our record at the Emirates is decent on the whole. Head says a draw, heart says 2-1 to us. Hopefully with Deeney scoring and given his comments earlier in the season, I think even the most vocal Deeney critics on here must surely want this??? I arrived for a working trip in NYC yesterday - so will be trying to find an open bar to watch this in at 9:30am. Wish me luck. Finally, what sportsman/sportswoman (past or present) do you really admire? And more importantly, which one can you really not stand? Admire - Bobby Robson for me. Hate - Lewis Hamilton, obviously. And I really don’t like Denise Lewis.
Nick Kyrgios. Petulant little ****. I think we'll lose but there's no point listening to me, to my great shame I'm bottom of the forum prediction league.
If we can't beat these there really is no hope for us Admire - Stefano Okaka & Andre Gray Hate - Troy Deeney
There are levels in this game and Arsenal are gonna find out the hard way. Arsenal 1-3 Watford Aubameyang (23), Mustafi (sent off 15), Koscielny (sent off 45+1), Ozil (sent off 78); Deeney (p 16, p 45+2, p 79), Deeney (sent off 79)
Arsenal look like the proverbial team wearing proverbial mocassin slippers on a proverbial glass mountain right now. Admire: Andy Murray Can't stand: Henman Fancy an easy, comfortable win here with zero suspense or tension. A nice warm down for the fans as we cruise towards the end of the season.
Away win. Got to admire Bradley Wiggins. To achieve all he did despite suffering from asthma is remarkable. And, of course, Muhammed Ali
Not sure Watford seem to do better when I no predict but I stuck £10 on Watford win and £4 on Watford win btts Also going to match first time been to emirates Random fact arsenal fan TV troopz (Omar) went to school with him and was next door neighbour for 27 years Nice enough bloke but exactly like fan TV, not an act or front but the area his from not "ends, ghetto, yard" It's a typical suburban area, nice enough and Saintsbury local Hardly boyz in the hood
I think from Gracia's point of view, should we keep it tight and then bring on Okaka on the hour as per our last two home matches and catch them out. But unlike our last two opponents it's more likely that Arsenal will go for it, unfortunately we are without Deulofeu so we are less likely to have the same impact as we did against Chelsea. My preferred starting line up would be: Karnezis Janmaat Proedl Marriappa Holebas Doucoure Capoue Femenia (if fit else Carrillo) Hughes Pereyra Deeney Bench to include: Richarlison, Okaka, Gomes, Britos Admired: Daley Thompson - a proper athlete who could do well at loads of stuff. Disliked: David Connolly - nicked my spot up front from my primary school team and acted like a **** when he left the club.
Our players are already on the beach so I fancy the Gooners to only lose by a couple. Admire: God Hate: Any ex footballer on the TV or radio
I know of plenty of places that show the football. It’s the early kick-off that may cause the issues but they show it on TV over here if all else fails. But I’ll check these places out!
This one certainly did do the early ones. There was a prob, though, with the Citeh end of season one last year. Enjoy beating @rsenal before lunch!
Admire: Joseba Etxeberria, who donated all of his final season salary at Bilbao to the Foundation because he loved the club and fans so much. Played his testimonial against 200 kids. Can't stand: Lewis Hamilton. I think we'll draw this one 1-1. If we'd have lost to WBA I'd give us a win here, because that's the Watford Way. Deeney and Aubameyang.
Liked for holding a grudge for nearly 40 years or however long it’s been Good call on Thomson too. Great 80’s computer game
Could be our last chance to get a good win against this lot. Next season they’ll have a decnt manager and be unbeatable. 2-1 Watford. The ball to glance of off Deeneys Nad sack and Okaka to re-ignite the striker debate on here. Can’t bring myself to admire any of these micro-celebrity types that you’ve mentioned, they all have flaws and are only here to entertain us. The hating part is easy but too numerous to mention. I’ll save it for the things you hate thread
2-0 Watford. Deeney slaps his Cojones round Wenger's face after he scores the second. I think Javi's new look, tough Watford will grind out a win and nasty Deeney and Okaka will rough up those poor Arsenal boys. The Arsenal fans will resemble women at a funeral in the middle east. Admire: Henry Olonga - Don't know if he was great at cricket or not, but wearing a black armband in a test match to mourn the death of democracy in Zimbabwe took some serious guts and effectively ended his international career, not to mention death threats and exile from his home country. Hate: Rivaldo and any of the other pathetic diving, injury faking cheats; also posh rugby types and their pathetic banter.
You mean firing machine guns in the air? This seems to happen a lot in the Middle East whether there’s a celebration, a protest or funeral.
No. Wailing, hitting themselves on the head and dropping to the floor. Not sure the women are allowed guns.
Oh I see. I know exactly what you mean now. I think I might gently back away from this subject in case it upsets any sensitive types!
What I can't understand about Arsenal is how their form has gone downhill ever since England's greatest ever player Jack Wilshere got back in the team. You would've thought that having the English Xavi in the team would've made them even better but weirdly they seem to have become a bit crap. I just don't get it, I mean this is a guy that literally started every game for Bournemouth last season until he was dropped. Still, let's hope he gets picked for the World Cup and leads us to glory. #injackwetrust #baller #chavvynotxavi
Think it'll be a much tougher game than we're hoping - still only Citeh and Utd that have won at the Emirates in the league this season, and we're yet to score away under Gracia. Gooners victory by a couple of goals, sadly. Admire - Ian Botham - great on the pitch, legend off it. Hate - Tony Bellew - load mouthed, arrogant scouser that talks as if he's one of the greatest boxers ever. And he supports Everton........
Admire : Niall Quinn who donated 100% of his testimonial money to childrens' hospitals in Dublin and Sunderland Hate : Ryan Giggs who spent 100% of his testimonial money on buying a speed boat, even though he didn't want one, but couldn't think of anything else to spend it on
Admire - Michael Johnson. Very good on the bbc and embodied the discipline required to be a top level performer. Also seemed happy to see bolt break his records. Dislike - Ian Thorpe for throwing a hissy fit when Michael Phelps was smashing his records.
I don't think we'll lose. Not sure we'll win - but the fact that we can't spend £65m on a player (and pay him £180 000 a week), yet we're still licking our lips at the prospect of playing Arsenal away tells a story. Magnus Carlsen is my favourite sportsman - being the best chess player of all time really takes some doing. A close second favourite sportsman is Demba Ba. Can't abide anyone that ever donned a Liverpool shirt, not even for a bet.
I'm looking forward to this. I'm going with Tennis Dave and using the tickets of a chap I coach in the Club Arse area. Slightly worried I won't be able to take this week's lucky carrot but I will have to smuggle Jasper in I suppose. Billy Jean King and Martina Navratilova. Too many to mention on the distaff side but not sure what Moog has against Henners?
Admire: Tonya Harding. She's good on the Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest.. Dislike: Bearded footballers. Goatees or some designer stubble is fine but not those that would be more at home on a colony in Pennsylvania.
‘We can’t wait for Arsenal fan tv For Arsenal fan Tv For Arsenal fan tv’ You know the tune....perfect if we don’t lose
If you can’t find an open pub sportsdonkey and a 1 week pass is your friend , if I’m not supposed to say this for any reason then it’s not
