Delofeu was running full pelt with the ball, taking on a man and giving detailed instructions via gesture to Deeney about where to run. When Deeney didn't get it, he just decided to score himself
The whole atmosphere around the team was completely different to Silva. Players like Pereyra and Capoue who are traditionally lazier absolutely ran their socks off tonight. Don't think anyone ran as far as Deulofeu (except Doucoure but he just loves running). They actually seemed like they cared which was nice.
Incredible performance, amazing to behold. Feel like breaking the 30 point barrier is a huge psychological barrier to have overcome for the battle for survival. Now 6 points off relegation spots in this insanely tight battle, with only 7-9 points required from 12 games to be assured of safety. An enormous result, and the nature of the performance perhaps even more so. Very hard to see us going down after that, or even flirting too heavily with the battle not to. The organisation and determination Gracia appears to have instilled already is crazy.
I think he can take a bit of credit for that actually. Didn't blame decisions. Sky man deliberately trying to push him but he stayed the course and didn't lose it despite the line of questioning. Others would have walked.
That new number 29 looks very handy! Youuuuuuuu oooooooorrrrnnnnssss!!! Thanks to all the 243 people who I hugged after that Janmaat wondergoal. Legends.
Someone tell me when I’ll stop laughing my baby brother was 2 the last time we beat Chelsea Haahhahaahh Which top 6 team haven’t we beaten yet. I don’t count city. They are a cut above and have only been a power the last 5 years so fair play. I’m talking about the ducking pain I suffered for 25 years alway being second to arsenal, Man Utd, and ducking Chelsea. Is it just spurs now Only a matter of time
DELAFAYOOOOOOOOOOO!! Great play from the boys tonight. Absolutely fantastic from the off. Had me worried when we conceded but wow! What a reaction to go and score 3 more. Great finishes from GD, Janmaat and Bobby P. Well done Javi. Well done boys. Proud Horn tonight
Carragher has said twice "make no mistake, at 11v11 Watford were by far the better side", verbatim. I think we have to give them some credit here, I'm not dissatisfied with them personally. Also said we played exactly how you should against a top side at home.
To be fair to Carraghar he has said on sky that we were better even when it was 11 v 11. Gave us quite a bit of praise too.
Where to begin... Not a single player was below a 7.5 IMO, all played with heart, passion and quality!! Gracia got it tactically spot on, our game plan was exceptional and our pressing was the best i've ever seen any Watford side execute. Was really pleased to see some of the players that have taken stick (rightly so by the way) perform so well. Deeney led the line brilliantly and actually looks a lot leaner to me. Capoue was everywhere, pressed really well and turned the ball over countless times, his passing was also really solid. Richarlison looked better again and seems to be getting back to somewhere near his early season form, he just needs one to go in for him and he could go on another run! Deulofeu is arguably the classiest player i've ever seen play for us. His performance tonight was Barcelona quality and thoroughly deserved his goal! Doucoure's performance was the best i've seen him play for a couple of months. He made Kante look very ordinary and is a better player than him IMO. F**king hell, if that Bakayoko is worth £40m then Doucoure is worth £100m!!! Janmaat and Zeegeelar both played well tonight, especially Zeegeelar. Looked more like the player at Newcastle away, looked great going forwards and Holebas came round and covered him nicely, which shows how fluid and flexible our shape was. Holebas, Prodl and Mapps all defended brilliantly, all did the basics well and didn't need to do anything fancy. Safety first and we built on a good defensive display at Stoke. I'm gutted for them we didn't get the clean sheet they deserved! Karnezis - Gomes doesn't get back in the side, for me! 10/10 night all round. Huge 3 points and it now gives us some breathing space but more importantly gives us huge confidence going into the remaining games this season, especially at home where we've still got to play WBA, Bournemouth, Palace, Everton, Burnley and Newcastle.
Bloody fantastic . I was very pessimistic when I saw the line up tonight, with no Cleverly and no Kabasele and started to question why I was going but wow ! Brilliant team performance from 1-11 not a weak link between them , never stopped fighting , no stupid giving the ball away or calamitous individual errors . What has Gracia done to this team . and my impression of delefeou was that he was some kind of luxury player but he never stopped running never stopped harrying,as they all did to be fair and Clearly is a class above in terms of quality .
Come back slither. Take over at Everton. I amThe last person to protest but I’m sure that there are others who feel strongly about you snake like ways

Couldn't get from Hoddesdon to Watford in time so gave my ticket to a friend and couldn't be happier! As others have said, what a difference organisation and communication makes. Well played to every one of our players.Special mention to Capoue. Let's hope he can fulfil his promise and deliver that kind of performance regularly. Superb work rate, excellent goals and I even tidied the sofa at half time! Won't be able to sleep much tonight. Mr IBB has retired upstairs with his Billy Gilbert Annual 1979 and a cardboard cut out of Zaha!
Two weeks ago, I was convinced we were doomed. Tonight with even more injuries than Silver had, we pull off thst performance. The result is historic, but in the context of the season, the performance is everything. What a showing from players, many of whom wouldn't be in the mathcday squad were it not for injuries. The whole season looks completely different in a matter if hours. Now there's belief. We have space to breathe, confidence and we look like we can muster enough to get points, even whilst we await the return of the sidelined many. Javi has waved a magic wand. A point against West ham, would be awesome. As a wise man once said "games change games," and so this game has changed the game gamefully
Superb performances by all of the players tonight. Wonderful result. Everyone looked like they wanted to fight for the shirt. On cloud nine and will enjoy the plaudits when I get to work from the City and United fans.
