What's the general consensus on this
Would you be prepared to see Watford play away but sit in the home end?

Obviously you couldn't make an idiot of yourself but for the commutable matches I'm half tempted to def make sure I can get a ticket and pick a decent seat

Had an empty account at spurs and west ham for a while in case Watford away tickets sell out but I'm torn as I can't sit with my own fans but on the other hand I can get a ticket for west ham now

I should be eligible for cat b home matches soon but have no eligibility for away matches as I've only managed to go Chelsea away in October

I'd very begrudgingly get a ticket in the home end if the away end was sold out, but only if it was a good day (and night) out. Away matches are 90% about the atmosphere.

If you desperately need a ticket (well in advance of the fixture) I'd try creating a thread on here. I'm sure some Cat As would be able to help you.

I've never really struggled to get away tickets and doubt I'd face a similar situation unless we got a small team in the FA Cup, but I don't think I could enjoy my self sitting in the home end, I'd much prefer to go to the next away match that I could get a ticket for and pull up a dodgy stream with some mates and crack open a few beers.

I remember sitting in the home end for QPR a few years back where Joey Barton scored that free kick, was pretty horrendous and decided to never do it again.

I've done it a few times. Never really enjoyed it. You cant relax and enjoy yourself, and it's really, really **** if we get beat. Only thing I'd do it for these days is an important cup game.

Perhaps my view is skewed. I have done it twice. The first time was the time we actually beat palace at smellhurst under Boothroyd. The second was the 6-1 at Millwall. Losing might feel very different.

Watched the 5-2 cup defeat at Spurs in 99 in their stand that had the two pillars. I was quite near the end where all the Watford fans were - the pandemonium I could clearly see when Johnno put us ahead after 50 seconds made me feel very jealous that I wasn't amongst it (although it was highly amusing to hear the spuds slag their own team off).

Was pretty much all down hill from that point on, as Ginola tore us to pieces.

Also the first time I'd heard proper, aggressive racial abuse at a match, directed at Ben Iroha. Made even more idiotic by the fact that spuds had Sol Campbell and Ruel Fox on the pitch at the time.

Most of our away games go to general sale. Newcastle, Palace and Leicester definitely did. Even Chelsea I think. I imagine West Ham will, and probably Arsenal as we've played there a lot recently. You might struggle with Spurs at Wembley though. But most of the other games you should be able to get tickets for.

I've done this a few times down the years - usually with mates who support the home team. From memory at Bristol City, Coventry, West Ham, Millwall (!) and Spurs. It's always a pain in the arse. Last time was at Spurs in the FA Cup in 1999. I blew my cover after one minute when (I think) 'Bunions' Ben Iroha put us 1-0 up.

Yeah done it but hated sitting on my hands when we scored as the away fans went mental.

Done it at Leeds and got spat on, Newcastle years ago but the stewards moved me to the away end as I was with my dad was dressed head to toe in Watford gear. So yes I’d do it if I had to. Half these clubs the home support are tourists anyway Chelsea Man U.

I bit the bullet because I'm an inpatient nob and wanted to guarantee a ticket as I booked the day off

£69 quid as had to join clarets membership to get early access

The home tickets are pretty much all gone

On a side note anyone want to buy a clarets welcome pack including portable phone charger 8D
