[CLOSED] background colour of new site

Looks like fog, making my eyes go funny, would appreciate a plainer colour that compliments the white text a bit more without being harsh on the eyes. cheers.

 

Don't like this colour, can we not have yellow please!

I like the design but I'm having real problems with the combination of background & white text. Very difficult to read.

Reason for repeating so often was I did not think the posts were registering.

I am not used to this new format yet

 

Afraid I have to agree, whilst everything else seems/looks great, the background is awful.

What even is it?

 

At least change the text to black so there's a contrast.....or better still...change the background.

 

It's horrendous. Borderline unusable.

White text is rarely a good idea but unless it's on a very dark background it becomes difficult to read. This layout is at best light grey and when the white text is put on a light coloured patterned background then my brain can't differentiate and it becomes unreadable.
It also seems like the font size has shrunk slightly (although I could be imagining this).
I'm also having trouble working out what the original post was v the reply and sometimes what is the footer.

Please change it to something less artistic and more user friendly.

Edit - Found this post by Meister on the forum bugs thread...

For those of you struggling with the temporary style I've knocked up a high visibility one.
Click on your username at the top right of the screen, select preferences and change the "Style".
If you select the style with WIP in the title it all suddenly becomes legible again.

 

I say make it more jazzy. Maybe we should have a site anthem?
