Probably not, but he just needs time to adjust to the Premiership right? Actually, he just needs a full pre-season under his belt then he'll be ready to go.

Consider it pie in the sky...unlikely we were ever interested.

I heard we might still be interested but might have been the voices in my head. Or the wind.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't the voices. Just make you sure you get help when they tell you to kill.

Surest sign yet he's coming, which, if this is the surest sign, means he's not coming.

Well a now defunct Richard Griffiths would provide more movement.

It would have been a hatrick of the third one wasn't in his own net.

    http://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-west-brom-watford-keen-midfielder-e12m-pl-offer-arrives/

"Now Iborra is once again being linked with the Premier League, and Marca say an unnamed side from England’s top division has made a €12m+ offer for the player. The Spanish newspaper don’t name any possible clubs, but Seville regional newspaper Estadio Deportivo do.

West Ham, West Brom, and Watford are all interested in the player, report Estadio Deportivo. Two of those have already been discarded as ‘not economically interesting’, but Estadio Deportivo don’t say which two.

It would be assumed that West Ham are likely to offer higher wages than either West Brom or Watford.

Iborra looks positively upon a potential move, with Estadio Deportivo saying he’d be especially pleased with a contract going beyond 2020. Iborra, who extended his contract after the Sunderland links, will be 32 when his current contract expires."

Yes, plenty of times actually. 2 years ago I would have jumped at the chance. This past season he was nowhere near the heights he previously hit. On top of that, he will be turning 30 this season. So we don't need to be signing him.

Hes a very decent player would have been an awesome signing 2 years ago maybe even last season, but he wants a 3+ year contract at the age of 32.

We ve still got another 3 years of paying Suarez 50k a week.

Thats what I was referring to.

EDIT my mistake he s only 29.5. In that case I think it could be worth a risk as long hes up to the nature of the English game.

The only way I see this happening is if we have truly given up on both Lemina and Allan.

My concern with him is his age, willingness to give 100% and not treating his next club as a last day pay check. People will say that is not his personality and he is a leader. Personally I would see this move as a Suarez mark II. However if we sign him and he finds his form again he would be a good addition. I just don't see it happening though.

Finds his form? He played 44 times last season for a team that finished 5th in La Liga and made the last 16 of the Champions League as well as being captain multiple times.

Don't worry about his age, ability or personality he is a top player. However pretty sure he is nailed on for Wet Spam. Iborra would not come cheap at the best of times and Gino won't venture into a bidding war. Let's move on to our 4th or 5th target. Coyhs!

Good news for us. That takes them out of the running for Chalobah leaving it between us and Swansea, if reports are to be believed.

£12.5mil on a near 30yr old who has never played in the Prem before or Chalobah, who will cost something similar, with Prem experience and roughly 8 years younger, much more value for money in my opinion.

On this basis Chalobah would also be better buy than Messi.
