Think he is our home based recruitment man, so he can't be blamed.

    Oh wait...

  2. I recall "shouting you down" and still would. If you feel that Gueds and Mapps are part of the issue you're not seeing the picture.

Awww - I heard on the radio on the way to the ground that Jan 1st is the busiest day of the year for Match.com. What I DIDN'T hear was that ****ING Ighalo was starting, otherwise I'd have turned around and gone home, rather than freezing my balls watching today's ****.

Damning really. Our owners are supposed to be transfer master tacticians, but I'd say we've received pretty bad value for the money spent over the past 2 years.

  5. Agree, let's be honest he's league 2 quality at best therefore what level of football does he contribute during the week, and how can he help improve the players around him?

He can't speak the f****** language, how can you possibly motivate a team when they don't understand you? How can he give a sterling half time motivational speech when it has to go through Behrami or the player liaison officer?

    'You people'. Sod off.

Yes I can blame injuries to some extent, we have lots of them, 6 first team players I would argue (Britos, Berhami, Janmaat, Pererya, Success, Okaka)

Calling Younes Kaboul an international, like he's at the peak of his powers, shows how much you are reaching to make this point.

Any manager in the world would struggle with the number of injuries we have. To have 2 players injured early against Palace and Zuniga pulling out before kickoff is also causing added problems with preparation. We need to regroup, add some players that can hit the ground running and get some of the injured players back. I wonder whether the owners will push the boat out in the window. I think they need to.

I don't know mate, I'm not present in the changing room and on the training ground. I'm also not privy to the psychological effect his team talks have on individual players. Fair enough if you are.

I think most of us expected a loss today, but it was the manner of the defeat that is the big concern and the standard of defending. I was pleased to see the back of QSF but I don't recall too many spankings and we were always in the majority of games we played even against the top sides. The way our defence has essentially gone backwards week by week is alarming and can't really be put down to injuries, you'd expect an Italian coach would make us hard to breakdown at the very least even if we can't score at the other end, but you'd have to say after half a season the defence is considerably worse than on day one. Will this suddenly change?

On a side note regarding the comments about the Pozzos transfer dealings, apart from Pereyra the policy has been clear, £6-8mill gambles that may or may not come good, it's obvious they will not all be winners but they are shrewd and with majority of theirp flops they just loan them out and pick up loan fees until they've paid for themselves anyway.

Mazzari did seem to have a plan early on this season, but recently I'm struggling to think when Watford were last so inept. We do the basics worse than most league one sides. Defend throw ons? Awful. Take an attacking free kick? Awful.

Set up was dreadful today. 3 at the back v one striker, always going to be overrun on the flanks.

I don't think we would have been in this position had the players stayed fit, but they didn't and plan b isn't in evidence right now.

If Sunderland and palace put any sort of run together before the end of the season we are going down.Ighalo is finished said it weeks ago,Koboul has got to be the biggest waste of money we have spent bar Ellington in our history.Absolute disgraceful performance they should all be embarrassed and ashamed tonight,No fight or passion they all look like they don't give a flying **** what happens to our club ,I am surprised they all did not just lie on the floor with there shorts pulled down when the match started, shameful,Great start to the new year, they say you start as you mean to go on,Looks like we are in for a big struggle to stay up,good old Watford love to make things hard.See you all at stoke can't wait.

The majority of our players are incapable of any form of accurate passing
    Ball retention is diabolical
No threat at all in the final third
Individually our defenders are very capable but don't work as a unit
Can't see what Walt's trying to do and his lack of English has to be an issue
Our recruitment has been poor at best
    No consistency
But we are financially solvent and somehow have enough points to have a cushion although will easily be sucked into a relegation scrap

Today was the most miserable 90 minutes for a long time - we've played worse but anybody sitting in the first 10-15 rows got soaked and it was freezing

Luckily we have good owners. If the real problem is the manager then they'll sort it quickly. Have faith in the Pozzos.

We have been pretty poor most of the season in truth. The wins we did get were in the main lucky (Man U and Everton aside). Whats it now 1 win in 8? Said all season 3 at the back doesnt work without very good defensive midfielders, something we dont have. Today we set up all wrong. Should have gone 4 at the back pack the midfield. the space in behind the wing backs is to easily exploited. However for me the biggest worry is the attitude and body language of the players. That comes from the manager. There has been to many of those performances this season. To many players happy to take the money and go through the motions. Say what you like about the likes of Big Sam or Dyche but they would make players give everything.

Even Gomes (think it was him) said a few weeks ago the players are struggling with the training. getting all these injuries is either bad prep, bad attitude or a mixture of both. to many to be a coincidence.

for me sacking QSF was right. Never convinced by Walter and think he is on borrowed time.

His lack of English is the least of his problems.

A terrible display from an injury ravaged team. Lose at home to a teams that went off at odds of 1/2. Really not sure this is the time to sack the manager imo. We have Boro and Burnley coming up at home. Mazzari should be judged on if he can get the job done in those game. Spurs have superior players in every position.

They do have superior players in all positions, but until they scored to me they didn't look that great and it wasn't as if we were defending wave after wave of attacks. For each goal they were just able to pretty much walk through our defence due to us being completely all over the shop positionally, people not tracking back or simple basic errors and mis placed passes.

Initially I actually thought to myself it could end up a boring 0-0 but then we just fell apart and gifted a very easy victory to them. It was completely preventable.

QSF had us tight at the back, that was our platform to go forward. People said its boring to watch, but that was the game plan adopted. Worked.

We wanted more attacking play,WM was brought in.

When trying to attack this team are not doing the basics right, trying to push forward at the expense of defending being the no.1 priority. Looks disjointed, almost sloppy & our passing game is so weak, short balls almost always get intercepted or its that same old aimless long ball forward. Remember the energy levels when we beat Man U? There has been little energy/intensity/fight in these players since then. Even with the injuries the replacements should surely at least show fight, even if the technical side is not up to standard.

My hunch is that Gino is hovering his thumb over the ejector seat button, feels like a bit of a downward spiral right now. Rightly or wrongly I think WM has 2 games to at least improve performances & this coinciding with the January transfer window & 2nd half of the season could see the stars align.

Frankly I don't mind either way. I just want the team performances to improve. I think the fact he has not grasped some (any?) English is now slowly starting to work against him with the players. My concern is when have you ever seen a manager in the PL that could not speak the language do well in this league? My gripe is that WM was supposed to have moved to the UK 12 months prior to getting the Watford job to learn English. I do feel he should at least try & not use the excuse along the lines of he wants to be perfect before he talks to the media. Pottechino/Flores/Raneiri don't speak English well but you can understand them. TBH I think he's probably just too old now to grasp using another language (sorry Walter nothing personal mate!).

We have a big enough squad for these situations I just want to see WM get fight out of these players & as a starting point go back to the basics of sorting the defence out. I would also get Berghuis back on the double, was a crime to let him go on loan, he was showing real promise back end of last season. Look what he's doing in Holland right now.

First goal came started from Gueds losing the ball...again.

Our left side is a disaster...2nd goal came from there as well.

3rd goal down to a defender under no pressure being incapable of clearing a cross.

4th goal again defenders incapable of clearing a goal and from our left side.

Our left side is a massive problem. Come back Ake...all is forgiven.

Regarding the language thing with Mazzari, I thought he could in fact speak English but choose to use an interpreter so wasn't misinterpreted? If you watch his Sky interview before the game he clearly understood the questions before they were translated for him.

Quantity does not equal quality. Yes it's big enough but there's little PL strength in depth.

And Berghuis is a victim of the constant changing of head coaches. Wally only had pre-season to judge him and a finite number of foreign player positions to fill. How's he supposed to know how Berghuis performed at the end of last season? And I mean really know, not just based on a few forum reviews and a video or two. And I'm not sure form in Holland means an awful lot given he had that in the bank before he came here anyway.

But we will still have injuries in these games. Is it fair to judge Mazzarri in those games if our squad is ravaged by injuries?

We've been horribly unlucky with injuries, but today looked like a team not playing for the manager. If that's the case he's got to go.

One of the most one sided games of football I've ever seen, embarrassing.

Well he hasn't done himself any favours with that display. I think if we lose at Stoke as expected Walter really needs the players to roll their sleeves up in the next home league fixture. Calling for him to be fired now is premature though for me.

We have been awful in too many games. The players lack discipline, fitness and motivation. The injuries are an excuse not a reason.

I couldn't care less if we get relegated, I do care that we have players who give a toss. They don't.

    Mazzari out.

Why would they play for any manager at this club? A sacking is only just around the corner, they know it, and it's a lot of effort to be professional when you just cruise control until the next mug turns up. Until that changes this cancerous mentality will carry on infesting our club.

The players didn't give a toss the minute things started to get tough under Quique either. Or Sannino. Or Zola.

Why do you think that changing the head coach will change anything?

How can you blame the performance of the fit players, on injuries? It is illogical.

Did Capoue turn his back on the cross for the first goal because of an injury. Did Holebas ignore Kane's run, due to injury? Were Prodl and Cathcart's injuries to blame for Leaving it for each other, or did Gomes not try and claim the cross as he was injured? Was Kaboul's mi**** for the 3rd cos' he was injured? Was the ball given away, or then did Amrabat not chase his man for the 4th as he was injured? Was Deeney awful performance due to injury was Ighalo tired? He only touched the ball 23 times, only 2 more than their sub Ben Davies who only played 20 minutes. We gave away 35% of our passes, was that due to injury?

9 of todays 11 starters would likely be in a normal starting line-up, or expecting to come on as sub, injuries or not. Injuries don't help, but no way are they to blame for that embarrassing performance.

. Think it demonstrates confidence if one of our players is doing well out on loan, that's part of the purpose of the loan system. What's there not to like about recalling our player doing well elsewhere when we aren't?

You've missed the point - painfully.

A full fit squad we'd still be sitting 8th/9th. Losing Pererya, Janmaat, Okaka, Success = 4/25 in the squad who would be on that teamsheet. Then all the niggles in between. We named 4 academy players today because we had to...

The performance from the others today was poor. Someone said Mazzarri should have been screaming from the sidelines but why didn't Deeney do that?! So so lacklustre. If my Sunday League team defended like that for the goals today I'd have turned round and smacked them. **** poor and pathetic defending.

And what was Doucoure doing all game!?!?!
