Huddersfield given an injury time penalty awarded because of an altercation in the box while Preston were in possession in the centre circle.

Leeds certainly stole a point there

Leeds just equalised with seconds left of injury time. I'm not a fan of Leeds by any means but to shut the Geordies up was a beautiful moment, (I still remember them being very ungracious winners both times I went up there).

Really looking forward to the play offs this year. I thought I would last year but I got caught up in a lot of other things and barely watched any of them, but this year will be really interesting.

For personal reasons it would be good for Weds to go up, for Joka I'd like Fulham to go up, and would be interesting to see how Huddersfield would do in the prem, so I'd be interested in any of those 3 going up.

Great that Leeds have dropped away though.

Leeds have totally bottled their play off hopes.

Will Monk pay for it with his job given the owners history..

It''s really not funny a club as massive as Leeds not playing in the top division. :jumping1: Cheer him up by saying the play-offs are still possible though, if Fulham lose and Leeds win by 14 goals they could claim the final play-off spot.

I had a bet with Bearded Nigel with Buddy the dog that Weeds wouldn't go up.

He declined to pay up last week, saying it was still possible. Tricky now you'd think?!

I've had a wonderful day, I saw the new Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, saw AJ beat Klitschko and Leeds will be in the Championship for another year.

    Delightful.

Will be interesting next week when Leeds play at Wednesday. If Wednesday win there's a chance they'll have to play an in form Fulham, if they lose then it'll be an inconsistent Huddersfield.
I think it's Readings promotion for the taking.

Goalline technology given early Championship debut in play-offs

    • System to become permanent Championship fixture in 2017-18 season
    • Premier League has been using the technology since 2013

The Championship play-off semi-finals in May will feature goalline technology before it becomes a fixture next season.

Originally scheduled for approval at June’s English Football League annual general meeting, the use of the technology was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting last week in order to give clubs more time to install the necessary infrastructure.

The earlier-than-expected start has enabled the League to confirm that the four play-off semi-final matches, played between 13 and 17 May, will also have the system in place.

The technology has been used in the Premier League since 2013, as well as in some League Cup ties and the EFL play-off finals at Wembley.

Shaun Harvey, the EFL chief executive, said: “The introduction of goalline technology is a significant step forward for Championship clubs and reflects the importance of the outcome of every single game in the division. Goalline technology has proved to be popular and effective in the Premier League as well as other mainstream sports. I am sure it will also become a welcome and useful addition to our broadcast coverage.”

Will this favour any particular team, and are you in favour of it?

What? We're in the Premier League mate. We've had it for 2 years already. How can it favour a particular team? ???

If only we'd had that when a certain team from Berkshire scored at the Vic a few years ago :p worst decision I have and will ever witness.

I will be cheering for T'Uddersfield because A) I hate bloody Reading, and B) T''Uddersfield will probably be a weaker Prem side next season, of the two

the newly announced Chinese owners of Reading are assumed to be doing big investment if the Royals go up, so it's an interesting ball game ...

It's one thing having the money to invest, entirely another attracting the right type of players, especially at a smaller club such as your, (and ours).

The girlfriends family are all Reading supporters, so I'm going to Wembley next Monday for the final. Apparently if they go up it'll be way too early, and they'll probably come straight back down, probably needing another year in the championship to make a good fist of things.

I think I want Huddersfield to win, just for someone different. Other than that, I'm entirely neutral; I don't know any supporters of either club. The only thing I will say is that Reading have been up a couple of times already, but I guess that reiterates my first point.

I'm rooting for the Terriers. Nearly fifty years absent from the top flight. Three times champions and twice runners up back in the 1920's.
