I think that with the "famous" change where Gino went from 25% to 100% of ownership of Watford they thought ahead of times and made two "clearly" (on paper at least) different ownerships for WFC and Udinese.
Yet, of course, UEFA would be suspicious and probably would investigate until they have proof enough that there's no multiple ownership.

Maybe Gino should change his surname to Smith ;) that might help make things appear like different owners.

Udinese a whisker away from a big win this evening. Still, 2-2 against an in-form Torino side isn't a bad result, and pulls them further away from the relegation zone. Good news.

Yep. We came near to the third win in a row and 7th place, but overall the draw is the right result against a very good Torino.
I'm satisfied, the position on table is good and things can improve if Kums, Penaranda, De Paul raise the bar of their performances.

I don't know if this is the place for it but didn't seem worthy of a new thread as it's taken from a tweet but interesting to see one of the teams there..

Similar (if not exactly the same) result watching the statistics on transfermarkt.co.uk.

Even more interesting is the result showing the transfers income and expenditures 10/11-16/17 ordered by balance (income - expenditures). There Udinese is third, behind the two great sellers/shop-windows (playing as they are always in EU cups) that are Benfica and Porto.

click on the Balance heading of column to order for that.

Does that include all the undisclosed and 'free' transfers to Watford? Udinese would have made a packet on the open market for them.

Only the known fees. More details on the transfer budget for last 6 seasons are on http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/udin...Von/2010/saisonIdBis/2016/zuab/ab/verein_id/0
Our best "customers" in terms of money spent are (as is well known) Juventus and Napoli.
WFC and Granada are of course the greatest in terms of number of transfers (28+21) but almost all are "undisclosed fee".

An excellent win for Udinese today! No Peñaranda in the match day squad though, is he injured?

Sherlock - thoughts on Del Neri so far?

Penaranda is injured again, until beginning of next year.
What is most worrying about him are the rumours that he's not very "professional"in his life outside the pitch.
If Penaranda thinks he's already a champion just because he scored a brace when still very young in the Liga like Messi did, well ... he's wrong.
The right way to become great is to be the first arriving and the last leaving at training, like Alexis Sanchez used to do.

About Delneri: finally the squad plays decently well and, most important, seems to have a soul!
We are in a good table position, probably safe already. In the next weeks we'll see if we can aim higher. I think and hope so. Lots of potential in this season's team.

Good news Sherlock. I friend of mine living in northern Italy suggested to me that Udinese were looking like one of the better 'middling' clubs, with potential to mix with the top boys generally.

That what the Pozzo's need, two clubs comfortably in the top tier.

Shame about the lad, if true.

Albert probably needs a word with Troy (could be interesting)

A solid 2-0 win for Udinese this evening. That brings them up to 11th, and 15 points from relegation and 10 points off 3rd placed Napoli!

...and do we get any credit for weakening Udi's opponents? No. Instead they just calls us Watford s**t.

    Ungrateful.
