A lot of genuine football fans have spent a lot of money trying to support their country in paris, this is the highlight for wales for football for god knows how many years and some fans are likely to miss the game, I admit I am jealous of them and still sulking on england not being there but don't wish this on them at all.

    Nope. It's a football. It's tribal. Didn't you know?

    Kabasele would have marked Williams.

Wales look far better than England.

Kabasele has got to come on for Denayer. He has looked so lost (along with Jordan Lukaku) and, all bias aside, Kabasele is the only person you would bring on to replace him as a like-for-like replacement.

I'm a little concerned Kabasele can't get in to this Belgium team.

Wales doing great and set up well.
Makes Hodgson look an even bigger incompetent tool than he does already.

Fellaini has been awful. Foul. Foul. Yellow card. Foul. Useless player.

Edit: and now misses a sitter

Fellaini for Carrasco has to be Wilmots's Hodgson moment.

Worst miss of the tournament, at least of those that I've seen.

Wales showing what can be done!

    Cracking game with great goals.

Shame for Wales that Ramsey will miss the semi if they hold out.

Great stuff from Wales. Surely the utterly substandard Wilmotts loses his job after this before Belguim's golden generation is completely wasted under his dreadful management.

Amazing what you can acheive when you play players in position and organise them properly.

Now now Roger. Hodgson told us it isn't systems that win tournament it's players.

Great result for Wales. Really pleased for them.

I can see them beating Portugal on tonight's showing.

What an amazing performance from Wales.

So disappointed for Ramsey, he'll be a bad loss in the semi..

The sad thing is, I hear Williams talk, I hear Gunter talk, I hear Taylor talk and I'm interested, I relate and I find them likable.

I see Kane & Rooney interviews and just want to turn off the telly. Such a gulf in personalities.

It's an interesting point. There must be about half the England squad who I haven't heard speak but those that I have a find very unlikeable. They are either thick, arrogant or both. Hart, Wilshire, Kane, Rooney off the top of my head. Can't stand any of them. Smalling seems a decent bloke to be fair.

Edit: having reflected while Hart is arrogant and Kane/Rooney thick I'm putting forward Wilshire as the poster child combination of being thick and arrogant at the same time. An extremely disagreeable specimen.

Klinsmann would be my choice. Don't care that he's not English. These players need a bit of organisation and be hard to beat. Not a marshmallow defence and no system.

Well done the Taffs ! Highly enjoyable game, on the first 15 minutes it looked like they were going to get battered. Four very well taken goals.

Hope they can manage it again in the semi-finals (I've got NO time for the over-rated tarts that are Portugal !)

You notice Coleman made attacking subs even when in front to keep the momentum up.

So Wales, this year, have equalled our last 'success' since 66. Not taking a yt hint away from them and well done Wales, but it's been 20 years since England reached a semi final. If people whose jobs it is to sort out this mess don't despair then I hope they die.

Any official who looks at our 2016 euro campaign and thinks Gareth Southgate is the answer, I hope you die.

    I disown England.

It's incredible how much we romanticise getting to the semis in 90 and 96 and look back on those tournaments as a success.

In their first tournament since 1958 Wales (!) have managed to equal those achievements. Fair play to Wales and everything, but I never want to see another documentary wistfully looking back on England's glorious failures of yesteryear when we came so close, yet so far. It's absolutely embarrassing given what Wales have just managed to make look so simple and achievable.

Congratulations to Wales and especially Chris Coleman who seems a top bloke as well as a good international coach, i must admit I am jealous and not seen anything from Portugal that wales will be scared off. I hope the fa, the English so called "better players on paper" take note. Hope all the Wales fans got there on time. Good luck in Lyon taffs

To be fair to Southgate even he's said he doesn't want the job.

As for the Wales/Belgium game, I really didn't want the Welsh to win when the game started and had a little chuckle that they'd be found out once that thunderbolt of a first goal went in.

But then the Belgiums decided they'd throw themselves on the floor rather than use their skills/talents to put the game to bed so was more than pleased it ended up the way it did. Watching Belgium trying to out-dive Portugal would've been a poor spectacle.

I liked what Shearer said about the academy process in Britain, pointed out that the Welsh lads all came from the same academy system the English ones did, keeps the small flame of hope burning inside me. Get a decent young manager in and we might be half decent.

Definitely think Wales could beat Portugal - and I personally don't think Wales, despite their amazing progress in this tournament, are actually that good. Portugal have been shocking. Unfortunately, the new system that saw so many third place teams go through at the group stage - which was presumably supposed to help some of the "minnows" - actually provided a lifeline for Portugal.

At this stage, I find myself wanting Italy to win who I think have played the most attractive football of those left.

Thing is for all their frailties and uselessness England have to face opposition who are 110% up for it every match. We're still seen as a scalp at major tournaments and sides try harder against us. Plus there's all the pressure from home to perform. Wales meanwhile trot along, have zero pressure and in fact the pressure is on their opponents who are expected to beat them. No wonder they're prospering. The same will apply against a pretty ordinary Portugal team and if Wales can cope with the loss of Davies and Ramsey they will cruise though.

I want Italy to win as well as I backed them and collect £500! Make up for some of my losses during the normal season
