Nutmegs when he wants Nutmegs when he waaaaants Étienne Capoue Nutmegs when he wants Edit: to the tune of: (from udinese) we sign who we want.
I have the music ... just need the words
At the risk of repeating myself my friends and I used to sing 'I don't wanna score, score for the Luton no more' to Ricky Hill! Kept us happy as we awaited the inevitable 1-0 defeat and a Poskett disallowed goal.:dismay:
'Etienne Capoue,we love you, We signed you for Tottenham. You're tall and you're French And never on the bench. You'll never be forgotten'.
All of these are great and far better than the rubbish chim chimemy chant the 1881 currently singing .
I think we need to go further back for quality tunes Said Etienne Capoue I'll murder you And Etiene Capoues a watford player now Anyone got a ukelele?
Etienne capou To the tune of Cheerleader.......I'm too old and tired to add a link, perhaps one of you youngsters could do it for me Oh,we've finally found ourselves a midfielder He'll put the ball through your legs and he'll leave yer And for the trumpetty bit..... Etienne.. Etienne Capou
Love the idea of an Electric Avenue chant, his name fits perfectly. Maybe "He's gonna nutmeg you - Etienne Capoue"
Why does Capoue have the shooting ability of Devon White? The guy has been a revelation this season. A truly outstanding player and after Ighalo is my player of the season so far. He ran the game brilliantly against City and put Yaya Toure to shame ( for most of the game anyway!) Yaya Toure in contrast did virtually nothing against us then scored with a thunderous volley. Capoue's nutmegs, flicks, intercepting ability, long and short passing are of a champions league quality player. Give Capoue a chance to shoot at goal and he becomes Devon White. His shooting is wayward. Even the sitter against Southampton in our second home game was a header that he knocked over. Is it due to a lack of composure? Does he need coaching so he shoots as well as he passes? If Capoue could add goals to his game he would be one of the best midfielders in the Premier league.
Going off at a slight tangent, who do people consider to be the best goal-scoring midfielder they've seen play for us?
tough question, but it has to be between john barnes and alon hazan. Impossible to choose between them
John Barnes obviously - although only watched him as a Liverpool player Other candidates - Craig Ramage, Ashley Young, Almen Abdi
Yep, he's got a touch of the Ighalos. Iggy was trying way too hard when he first signed, and Capoue seems to be in the same place. Once he scores and settles I think he'll do alright. Abdi was unbelievably good in his first year. Injury hasn't helped since but he's still an outstanding CAM.
