I've suspected Steve Harrow ever since I was killed off. He's random vote for Abso whilst everybody else voted for either me or WAS didn't sit right with me. By sitting on the fence like he did, he made no enemies and got himself out of the spotlight.
I think if you read back the wolf has done a blinding job. The tac tic of keeping it to just one or two suspects a day, by naming previous good as evil, made it difficult to pin anyone.
But the wolf has played a brilliant game, why would he have exposed himself like that? This is why it's more likely to be Optimistic than Steve Harrow. Agreed
He has done a great job, very good job indeed. Think he got a little unlucky that the seer viewed Squibba so quickly after the full moon.
He was also unlucky to lose a wolf on the first day, then have the evil team kill off 2 evil players....
I know :doom: Couldn't believe my luck - Got home around 2pm from the exam and thought "Ah yeah, Werewolf starts..... Oh F**K!"
I wish you'd not been named evil by the seer and you and I had named the same kill on night one. It would have been brilliant fun then.
I'm still angry and genuinely offended that you and others pegged me as evil. OK, you were right, but I'm still indignant about it.
I do think regardless of what happens now indeed from a couple of days ago Definite moral victory for team evil , team good not helped much by me :doom:
Think I mentioned earlier in the thread that I would have gone for Norway, he seemed to direct people towards me at the start after I was named so thought he'd known something. Though if I hadn't been named as Evil - not a clue!
I've got to be honest you were easy to spot. In the recent games you have been good and with it competently analytical. This time you really were full of bluff and blunder. There was also the absentee aspect that you have genuinely explained away but at the time it didn't help your cause.
Agreed, but I think it is more suspicious that Opti has NEVER voted for somebody who has not ended up with a majority. Voting for somebody random on the other hand makes you more suspicious. Opti seems to be active at all times of day when he feels like it, but disappears for hours otherwise. I am going to guess that Harrow is the guardian, because he keeps flip-flopping between people and opinions, and if I think Opti is the Alpha, then he has to be something. All of the masons rushed to my side when Nairobi was announced good in the same message as myself, so I assumed in the game that he was a mason. What made the masons think that Nairobi was good? Or did they just think that Moog was evil from their Norway theory?
I was quieter than the most involved but I was there reading and 5 or 6 posts a day is better than one a day saying sorry horses are ill. I called out Mike, Opti and Harrow Orn too even though it was against what others were saying. Hopefully it's Steve.
Being killed early and watching it from in here has been very educational . will do better next year have learnt a lot off cude , diamond and our remaining furry this game .
Has a guardian ever saved themselves before? To be fair there isn't actually anything in the rules explicitly stopping them... Hmmm. Diamond?
You know what, I can't remember. It does seem a bit silly that if a wolf creeps up on them when they're alone that they would be in a position to guard themselves, but if you haven't explicitly said they can't then surely they should be able to? I'm torn. If I was running the game then I'd do whatever it takes to balance it finely for the last day, but I'm not, hence why it's such a d*mn good game. Whatever happens it's a rule update for next time.
There are one or two other grey areas such as this one in the rules IMO guys, see my suggestion in the rules and question thread; what do you think?
I know it's only a game, but so is football and I bet you want the game to have clear rules? Or maybe you don't give a ****? I bet you are the sort of person who leaves a game 5 minutes early when the score is still 0-0 or 1-0 as well.
If it hasn't been explicitly stated in the rules that they can't then let the Guardian save themselves. It's another tactic so should be used, i.e. if they save themselves nearer the start then they could affect the game. "The guardian didn't venture too far from home for this night's save". If you state it from the start then fair enough, but it definitely isn't clear form the rules. It's a loophole!
Every year the rules are tightened up and added to. I know I amended stuff. I do think it's implicit about not saving yourself (& the guardian himself also thought so by te looks of it) but it's worth adding that detail in either way.
Having said that, a quick search brought this: http://boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/81/what-extra-roles-have-you-used-with-werewolves Guardian Angel, each night a guardian angel can protect a player. This player cannot be eaten by the werewolves. The guardian angel cannot protect himself. I guess we just have to decide for ourselves how we want to play it and amend our rules accordingly.
Dead players really shouldn't be making accusations in the tavern, especially this late in the game. WaS perhaps you should delete your post in there.
I totally agree, it's one thing some of us invading The Tavern on the last night, which is not really allowed and a little naughty :naughty:, but that's just a bit of fun that does not really interfere with the game. However, none of us should be making any comments that might have an influence on the game whatsoever.
