Given that no matter what the messages say today Squibba is going to get lynched, I don't know whether we've had the other tinker yet but the seer must look at someone whose post stats are very low. Optimistic has stayed very low and below everyone's radar, he would be my choice.
It's refreshing to be honest. At least he recognises that everybody has no choice but to vote for him. Saves a lot of hassle. I think the entire game hinges on tonight, and whether Squibba is a tinker. Odds suggest the other tinker has already been killed without ever coming into play. Could even have been me! Can't be sure that's the case though. If Squibba is the tinker, gets lynched, and then evil have two kills tonight, I expect they'll have the game won.
I sincerely hope he is not a tinker, because he thinks he is good, therefore he should be doing his damnedest to get out of the lynching otherwise he is just playing into evils hands.
Agree. Squibba will be playing on the tinker card all day. If the wolf has to post today than I think he will name nairobi, being the only known good
Guaranteed kill tonight will be wfcmatt though, I think the wolf and the guardian suspects he's important.
Don't know if this has been covered yet but who is/was the Martyr? When I tried to kill WaS I was very concerned that he might be it as he was seemingly trying to get killed that day by throwing out a big net of accusations. If the Alpha wolf is still playing, (I think he is), then there's a big problem for him.
Surely Matt will be better of coming clean later on and saying who he viewed? The wolf must kill him tonight as its a guaranteed safe kill as he can't be protected.
Unsure on this as the players he names will be targeted for sure. Don't know how many masons are left but they could be the key to winning this game now.
I think he made it pretty obvious he's the seer yesterday, which is why he almost got munched. If the good team haven't worked it out then they don't really stand a chance.
Yes you are correct, I was the first mason to get eaten. the other eaten mason was Spoiler Cassetti's Beard
They must. I think for the last two days his made it clear I can't see good winning this now, in fact not for a few days. The wolf has kept list of suspects down to a minimum list and there have been no strand out candidates for a while If they are going to get both wolves then its going to be a complete random guess
Trouble is, the Seer has always viewed active players. Next game the Seers need to be looking much further down the list of posters. Start from the bottom up. Easy in hindisght I know.
Give the Wolf something to think about. Name a good player and they'll think "I'll target him, while the other takes the Seer" At the moment the Seer is the obvious target - and if both Wolves go for him they'll find out the other wolf. Give one "food for thought" to perhaps make the other wolf kill someone else. If they were wise about it, they'd choose someone the Guardian hadn't protected to view.
I said that the other day. Harrow and I were basically chatting at one point, there is very little interaction. Unless you point a finger or start picking holes then no-one reacts. I'm sure some of the players have posted on the main forum today, but aren't contributing. It's a shame
Afternoon all. Just caught up on 22 pages here. Very entertaining viewing! Funny that I was lynched just as I started to trust my own judgement a bit more in the game (better late than never). Re new seer messages, I had thought yesterday that, if my logic was right and the Squibba message was from the seer, that the sign off ("your new/newish/not so new Seer") might be a clue that they were all from the same person.
Btw great game, 352. Well done & thanks for running it. Have really enjoyed the write-ups, even if I wasn't sure if the bit about me going on holiday was a coincidence or a hint that I've mentioned being on holiday too much recently! Re inactive players, I think it's a tough one. If players are too quiet it does hinder the game but, equally, it's nigh on impossible for most to sit on here all day. Plus, I think "lurking in the background" - within reason - is a valid tactic.
I will post much more tactically next time. Went i with all guns blazing this time, but to be honest I would have if I was Wolf, Villager, Mason or Seer, etc as I thought this was the way it was played. As a novice I thought it was all about the fun of misdirection and intrigue, not siting quiet and hoping no one notices. I understand tactical silences, but feels like everyone should be posting loads and testing theories. Yes each side want's to win, but ultimately it's all about having fun right? Have I got this game all wrong?
I supposed when the numbers are low and there's only one message plus everyone knew who they would vote for before the day, today was always going to be quiet. I don't see any point in the wolf sending a message. Squibba is now only one vote away from getting lynched. If Squibba turns out to the tinker then the good team will have a massive problem: Spoiler I suspect in that case that wfcmatt and sonofben will be eaten tonight leaving 7 villages with only 5 good villagers and no seer. If they both choose the same victim then the villagers simply won't win. If Squibba is a wolf I suspect the remaining wolf will probably remove the seer and the game will slowly go down to the last 2 players taking up to a week to do so.
It was my first time too, I just wanted to have a bit of interaction so I came up with the football manager and a match on the first day, but all I succeeded in doing was making myself an easy wolf target.
I am not one of the more experienced players but I agree - that's why I said "within reason". This game it seems the key evil players left have gone too far that way in their strategy.
Why did the seer post a message ? he didn't need to Tomorrow he could have posted that he viewed Norm' today but decided not to post giving the wolf an easy target. He could have viewed someone else and named 2 good or 1 good one bad tomorrow For me Squibba giving in to easily
Not sure what he can do other than accept the situation, whether he turns out to be a wolf or a tinker it wouldn't help his own side by throwing accusations around.
