Ha ha! Over-egging it a bit maybe? As far as I can remember we've only ever had one really big time spat on here and, as you know, I've freely admitted on a number of occasions now that I was the instigator of that and was o.t.t. I've also admitted that when I do that I've more than likely been 'on the sauce'. That was certainly true on that occasion. It started when I was in a night club at about 1a.m. And I remember the subjrct matter. It involved a car park I believe. I still reckon I had a point but admit I took it way, way too seriously. The rest of our disagreements I'd put firmly in the 'handbags' category.

On another note. It does seem that when a new poster comes on here and is a bit feisty and opinionated then there is a tendency to overly 'shoot from the hip' a bit. One has already been criticised for that on this thread already today. He called me a bigot the other night. Ffs! Once you get to know the characters on here and their politics, and particularly their sense of humour and you get 'established' yourself, then it's easier to settle down with a bit of mutual respect. Well that's what I've found anyway.

However, a dormant volcano always remains potentially volatile so I could easily kick off again at any time (not necessarily with you though)!

The inclusion of Richard Short & the 50/50 sellers in the list of why the Pozzos are evil had me in genuine tears. So thanks for that, BBB.

The Rous renaming and Zola's resignation are the best ones for me. Renaming a stand after the greatest manager in our history and Zola walking out on a season that was getting worse by the week and only heading one way. And even if he was pushed they deserve praise because the team were a ****ing state. But you know, **** you Pozzos. They'll be sorry when our pitch isn't looking like utter **** for the first 2 months of the season.

With no figures mentioned it's hardly a smoking gun and football is a business and with £100m (or whatever the true figure is) sentiment left a long time ago. I think you're being extremely harsh on Gino.

Let me ask you this, do you think we had a plan to stay up when we were promoted in 1999? I don't, it was very much hope for the best and not mortgage our future on one season.

Did we have a plan in 2006? With Cashton and Simpson, it was down to let's re-coup our own money back and see what the parachute payments can do.

2015...do we have a plan? Too fecking right we do...get a head coach who they think can do the job, get players in to supplement the talent already at the club...put all the tools in place for success so there can be no excuses.

As for the pitch maintainers, this is business...you NEED to understand this. Contracts are won and lost all the time...it's part of business and standard contracts to provide a service are usually 3 years...so they've put the contract up for bidding, which means companies will offer their services with agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements) at competitive prices....ooh you heartless b'stard Gino, how dare you serve the interests of the club.

So the DNA now of the club is:

    Invest in infrastructure
Invest on the playing side (academy included)
    Invest in a successful coach
Don't sell off the best players at a fraction of their true cost
    Deliver success to the fans
Plan for staying in the Premier League

None of this was evident in 1999 and 2006, so the DNA of Watford FC is now 'we mean business and you can't push us around anymore'.

Thanks to Joka last season, but we've moved on...time people on here did as well.

Last word from me on the matter ... I have no issue with the aims of the Pozzo's, just occasionally the methods by which they achieve them.

Apart from that c'mon you golden boys.

I think that the 452,000 / year offer is in line with the 'half of lowest PL manager '.

Looks like all the numbers line up, except for the lies that came out of that one report which had the 1 mill offer and the 2.5 mill rebuttal. Quite comical in hindsight that a lot of suckers fell for it... PR 101

A man who gets paid more than I ever will left a job and then found a new job to probably get paid more than I ever will again.

    My hearts bleeds for him.

Oh. So we just disbelieve the Pozzo's because of the huge mound of lies they've told us in the past right?

I say it again, they have no reason to lie. So tell me why that report was out there?

But bobbly sandy bits are good, especially at Brighton. We should have some strategic ones to bring on at half time IMO.
