How great does it feel watching the cheating *****pigs slip up? I just hope Bournemouth and Norwich collapse completely and don't even make the play off final. Well done Boro - definitely who I'd like to see go up, even if we don't.

Weirdly I'm not sure it really changes that much. We will probably still need to win our last three games to win auto (although that now guarantees it) and Boro have Fulham away and Brighton at home so must really fancy their chances as well.

Still say Bournemouth will choke though.

Very wise keeping his hands out of sight so we can't count how many fingers he's got.

A draw was preferable, but Boro now right back in the mix, hopefully the injuries to their strikers will slow them down

All in our hands now, cant ask for much more than that

Boro win is definitely a good result, although draw would have been marginally better.

Bamford got injured, still don't think Boro have enough to finish above us.

Of course it does - if we win our next three we get promoted - no permutations or goal difference bullsh*t.

If Norwich had won tonight our fate would still be out of our hands and their remaining games would have been two of the worst teams in the league.

This is without doubt the most important result of our season.

It changes everything, since promotion is firmly in our hands now. Before tonight we were relying on Norwich scoring less than us - but even if we win all three games by only the odd goal, there is nothing that anyone else can do about it.

Agreed we probably still need to win our last 3. But it is all in our hands now. Winning our last 6 in a row and not going up because of goal difference would have been such a horrible kick in the teeth.

Plus Boro probably have less in their locket to break down a stubborn team at 1-0 or 0-0, so I'd prefer them to be ahead than Norwich.

Exactly. Narrch's last 2 games should be goal-fests, out-scoring them would've been tricky even with our strike force. Now...no worries.

Totally agree guys that knowing 3 wins gets us up for sure is big. No need to go chasing games. But I always felt we'd make the one goal up anyway should it come down to that and the Boro win means they can now spoil our bid. One things for sure my head hurts with all the permutations.

2 Wins and a draw would do it on GD (probably) wouldn't it?

EDIT- ignore me, thought Boro were only a point above.

Boro were very, very good in the opening 15 minutes or so, could have easily been 2-0 up before Norwich even got into the game. Must say that despite recently beating Boro, I have a lot of admiration for their defence/organisation. Besides from the Howson header miss, I never felt Norwich were even really close to scoring. The only problem for them will be if they go up they might end up struggling to score goals and have to sacrifice their current style for a more attacking approach. I would love to see Boro come up with us though, as most on here seem to agree.

So I got to see the last 30 mins in the pub and it turns out I really don't like Norwich and although I am ambivalent towards Boro I do think that Bamford is a perfumed ponce. Beer the unlocker of male emotions since the dawn of humanity (approx)
