Perhaps his apparent regression under Sannino was down to him being afraid of making mistakes and getting yelled at. Who knows?
Let's be honest, Manuel Neuer is considered the best keeper on Earth, but how often does he go face to face, toe to toe with a Watford player. I would expect to see that same rueful look in his eyes if you swapped Anya for Vydra, Deeney, Abdi, Doyley or even Fanchone.
“It’s definitely the highlight – when I saw the ball hit the back of the net it was the best emotion I’ve ever felt in football." Pfff, better than Leicester?! Ship him out.
Strachan being reported in the Scottish newspapers as saying Anya is to good for the Championship and should be playing for Celtic or a top team in the Prem, he'll have to get in our starting line up first
What the strawberry blonde fool hasn't realised is the quality at the top of the championship is better than the SPL, it's also better than most leagues in Europe as well excepting the PL, La Liga, Serie A and the BDL.
Too good for the Scottish prem which is why he's in the English championship. If the scots vote "yes" does it mean we don't have to listen to the Scottish results on sky anymore ? If so its "yes" for me.

He'd get more money and play in front of bigger crowds in a better league for somebody like Southampton as an example.
He may not have watched him recently playing for Watford but every time he has turned out for Scotland he has proven a very tricky and tough opponent for the opposition. So the times Strachan has encountered Anya he is seeing performances that would not look out of place in a PL side. Ikechi needs an arm around the shoulder, a manager who places his full trust in him to get the best from him. Zola managed to do that and fingers crossed Garcia does the same. If he does he will be another invaluable weapon getting us promoted and becoming that PL player. Going to the SPL would be a retrograde step considering how weak it is as evidenced by Celtic losing to Maribor.
I'll drive him there myself. Since that goal he's been very very average, has great pace but his final ball is awful & his finishing worse, he very much reminds me of the headless chicken who first signed for the club.
Haven't been a fan of his for a while. Last year he contributed some goals and assists, but it papered over the fact he is a very average defender and average winger.
As a wing back his energy and enthusiasm to go up and down the line all day every day goes a long way As a winger his inability to cross a quality ball gets tiresome pretty quickly
