I'm not sure the club have ever official stated what the capacity is have they? I think the 20,877 number has just come from people adding some guesstimates together.

When Brighton get relegated in a few years time their stadium will be like a ghost town, they'll probably need to move back to Withdean Athletics stadium to conjure up an atmosphere.

Look at some of those capacities and the teams. Coventry, Huddersfield, MK Dons, Darlington. The words 'vanity projects' and 'deluded chairmen' spring to mind. For many clubs they go with a 'build it and they will come' mentality, as opposed to what the Pozzos are doing which is 'come consistently and we will build it'. 10k fans in a 32k Ricoh arena - many many lolz.

The only time i've ever got a panoramic picture to work properly, was dead chuffed with it.

You sit very low down Reids, or was that just for the panoramic?

Was sitting low down for that game (not a ST holder and just decided to try the SEJ stand on a whim). Views class, much prefer sitting closer to the pitch though. Might move a few rows back just to compare it but imagine it'll still be a great view.

I sit 3 rows from the back, fairly central. In the back row there are the fringe players and what I assume are the older academy players as well. In front of and around them them are normally free if you want to try something completely different. I know you're into your tactics and from up here you get a great view of exactly what's going on.
On about 90 minutes my boy and me normally move down to the front for an easy escape and sit in the front row. Whilst I also love the view down there and being so close to the action yet still 20 feet odd up, you don't get half of what you do up high, (and yet still close to the pitch compared to all the other stands).
Something to try for a half perhaps?

Will give it a shot next time I go (can't make most weekend games sadly though due to coaching)!

Should try the plane instead mate. Kelso highly recommends it!

Exactly! Should even be able to be in two places at once ...

Seriously though, I do like the way the Pozzos do things sensibly and incrementally rather than charging ahead with some macho (and very costly) white elephant statement. The latest from last night's At Your Place Event is that there is an option for a second tier on the SEJ if we need another couple of thousand capacity (despite what the civil engineers on here might have said previously). And that's probably the way we'll go.

I sat in the SEJ Stand for the Norwich game right in the back row in the section nearest to the Rookery and I have to say I had an excellent view of the game.

However, I was not so pleased about what I was watching

I saw them too but didn't want to ask - chatting to three guys in skirts just didn't seem the right thing to do.

I'm still not sure I've made the right decision to switch from the Rookery to the SEJ. The views are great but I miss the atmosphere and banter of the Rookery. I fear I'm turning into a prawn sandwich.

    Tips?

I rarely sit in The SEJ, so it's not workable. I bring my own crab salad though.

See helpful suggestions like these all help. If only Shoutbox had an audio feature I'd be sorted.

Will be sitting there with my dad on Easter Monday, looking forward to it but I don't think it'll beat the rookery

Sat there yesterday and on the whole it was good. I think ill stick with my usual seat in the Rookery though.

Start joining in the songs like I do. It'll soon catch on. Although we do have a problem with some migrants from the UGT. Having said that they won't last long if the volume from the new speakers stays the same. Unless of course they turn their hearing aids off.

Given all but the two end blocks were totally sold out on Friday there were loads of empty seats throughout the middle of the stand.

So... time to shove a second tier on it I guess?

It certainly would be a good idea. We will be sold out every match, so an extra 2000 seats would come in very handy. Hopefully the SW corner will get a move on now as well. Now we're in the Premier all revenue streams can be maximised.

The finances will be there to do it, and there will be a high demand for match day tickets, so it would make perfect sense to me to get all this done. I'd have the builders in on 5th May if possible.

I think it is a fair assumption in that will be the case. I reckon plans will be going in this very week.

If I am correct, the SW corner will have to house a TV studio and all the Hawkeye stuff, which apparently takes up loads of space, this might be why it hasn't been developed into the secondary plans of a more catering facilities after the original changing rooms idea were binned.

A second tier on the Rookery and a third on the GT could probably be filled too at this rate!

I would expect work on the SW corner to be started over the summer now we're up. Not sure what else they can do to increase capacity quickly really. In previous Prem seasons they've installed extra temporary seating but don't know where they would put it now. Realistically I think we'll be seeing plans for another extension going in with a view to doing it for 2016/17 if we can stay up.

What will the season ticket situation be like? I have been to the majority of the home games this season and went to Brighton yesterday. How many extra season tickets will be available? As we have 95% renewers for next season. What will pricing be like too? U'ORNNNS!!
