Huge comparative increases in the Southeast of England's disposable income makes spectator sport a booming industry and with much better transport links, particularly the M25, our catchment area is pretty unlimited .... It is always the same. We have a tendency to take things for granted until they are gone. Is it the end? Time will tell. But what great joy and excitement Iris brought to us. Let us focus on the good memories.

It's not finished yet, there is quite a bit of work to be done still.

 

I can imagine the webcam company, Iris, or whatever it is had spotted a marketing opportunity and offered to do it all for free on the basis of the club saying the stand would be open in a few months.

16 months later, they are saying, "Thank **** for that! we're off!"

 

I haven't been following the development of the stand, is there going to be a release of a time-lapse vid? That'd be good to see it from bringing down the old, to putting up the new.

 

The stand needs to be filled. Gives off a massive glare to those in the GT.

 

It was easy work, but I bet the cameraman was glad to move on to a more exciting project, especially now the weather has turned.

 

He must have had a good alarm on his phone to remind him to press the button every 15 minutes. He asked for a new job due to repetitive injury strain. Good luck to him.

I know that former ST holders of the old east stand have priority for seats in this new stand, but does anyone know when tickets will be made available to the rest of us for this stand?

Derby fans got first dibs

 

I'm one of the former main standers and my paperwork says we have until tomorrow (Tuesday 4th Nov) to choose our new preferred seats and then the club will confirm the allocation by phone from Wednesday 5th November. There's a bit about being able to reverse our decision to transfer up until 1st December but I doubt the club will waste time offering the remainder of the East Stand seats to others, so I suspect that there'll be some sort of communication to others looking to transfer issued anytime from Thursday 6th November.

A friend of mine is a promise holder and the club have actively encouraged him to take some normal season ticket holders over with him. I took the plunge and am moving over there after sampling the views on Saturday. If you know anyone who is a promise holder then you can get in early that way. I suspect the club are very keen to fill the stand so don't expect it to be long before open invites go out.
