Not sure how many people know this, but the Pozzos also own Grenada CF (the local team there). As it turns out, they place in La Liga so if you have time, a visit to the club's stadium could be cool.

Are you flying direct or via Malaga?

    SEE:
    (Old city)
    - The Alhambra & Generalife (Must see)
    - Plaza Nueva, Paseo del Darro and Paseo de los tristes (Must see)
    - Mirador de San Nicolas (at albaicyn, best view of the Alhambra) (Must see)
    - Calle Elvira
    - Sacromonte
    - If you have time: Carmen de los Martires is a great option. A "Carmen" (which gives the name to our stadium, Los Carmenes) is a typical Granada old rich house with a lot of garden. Carmen de los Martires is a big and nice one to see it.

    (New City)
    - Puerta Real zone
    - You can spend a morning in the interactive Parque de las Ciencias, personally I love it
    - Catedral (must see), Capilla Real & Plaza Bib-Rambla
    - Alcaiceria (must see)
    - Would be cool if you can see Los Carmenes (there is a Granada CF shop in the stadium, you can buy something, don't know if you can visit the stadium inside, maybe calling to the Granada CF offices and saying you come from Watford just for that). EDIT HINT: Next Friday 30th, at 9:30 in the morning (spanish hour), the team will train in the stadium. People CAN enter in the stadium to see the training, it can be a perfect way to see the stadium inside. I think they will be there 2 hours, more or less. You can enter for free, of course.
    - Constitución & Plaza de Toros

    EAT:
    - You must go in a TAPAS area (near Los Carmenes, the ECU bar is a cool place. TAPA: You ask for a drink and you get food for free, only place in Spain where you can do that: Granada. Also near Plaza de Toros is a good place, ask the hotel where you can tapear.)
    - You can visit the TETERIAS near the Calle Elvira, where you can taste some arabian teas (must see)
    - Taste Gazpacho, Tortilla del Sacromonte, All kind of fishes... If you want a paella, DO NOT go to tourist areas to taste it. One hint: Do you want well made food? Do not enter in the typical tourist restaurant with a Paella photo in the entrance ;)
    - If you like italian food: Il Gondoliere is a great option. Most popular italian in Granada.

HOPE YOU LIKE IT!! Good moment to come to Granada, not so hot (we had been 46 degrees until 2 days ago, now only 36-40º and maybe some rain)

And remember: "Una cerveza bien fría, por favor" - "Cold beer here, please"

Thank you very much roji! That was exactly what I was looking for. Seeing Granada Cf stadium is a minimum for me aswell as buying the shirt, I will be doing it!

We went to capila real today and the tapas area today, and ill be venturing out at night to check out the night life (after the watford match of course). Alhambra will be the next big one tommorow.

This may sound very stereotypical of a tourist but, I've seen a lot of posters on Spanish bull fighting, can I see this somewhere? Or is it a small Spanish joke for tourists!

Cheers Roji (and others who may input)

Dont worry about the stereotypical ;)
You mean see posters to buy them or see a real Bull fighting?
The posters you can buy them in the tourist areas, like coming down from Alhambra to Granada, (which I recommend you to do walking, the "Bosque de San Pedro" is somewhere I love to walk in and its the easiest way to come back to Plaza Nueva. Just leave the Alhambra by the "Puerta de la Justicia" (where everyone leaves walking) and follow the way (not the road, the "sand" way)), I think you will find these posters almost everywhere in the tourist places. I think (but im not sure if they do it yet) that in Plaza de Toros you will find some of them (and, of course, more "real" posters).

If you mean to see a live Bull fighting, you can't now, is not Bullfighting days until september.

Coming out at night in Granada is something everyone must do. You will see that, at 00:00 people are eating tapas because, in summer, is the best moment to be on the street and the weather comes great.

If you want to party in a disco: "Mae West". If you want pubs, you can find them almost everywhere xD (you know, in Spai, 1 of each 4 bussines is a Bar). There are usually english people on "Hannigans", near Gran Via/Calle Elvira. Also, if you like beer, we have a beer: Alhambra (how strange, isnt it?), you MUST taste the Alhambra 1925, people loves it. If you just want to walk, stop in outside the Catedral (I love it at night) and taste an icecream in Bib-Rambla at "Tiggiani" or in Gran Via at "Los Italianos" (most famous one in Granada)

Went to Alhambra yesterday, was amazing. There is a real sense of history there, its fantastic. I rang up the Granada phone line, it was all in spanish however haha, so I could not understand it. However i went down to Los Carmenes couldn´t go inside as I was pushed for time, but I did buy the seasons shirt which I will wear to some Watford games ;). Now sitting in parque de las ciencias and I am going to see the Carmens later !
