I don't want this to sound patronising and nor are these supposed to act as 'rules', however, if this group is going to be successful and work some broad guidelines need to be followed. I'm no speech writer but this is also supposed to be a pep talk, as the title says... anyway One of the major things we have to do being part of the 1881 is to sing... the WHOLE game. Even when the oppoistion score they should be no silence, and certainly no silences during normal play. This will get us more noticed and respected, and also, the fact that we are now an organised singing group means in a way it adds a little pressure on us to sing! Secondly, please no one sing "we are going up". I don't think I could stand that tomorrow. Apart from that, let's sing our hearts out for the boys! It looks like over 3,000 will be going to Brum tomorrow, so we should be able to make some serious noise . Also, no one be afraid to start a new song/chant! There's no point in people thinking up of all these chants if we are still going to sing the same old thing again. See you guys tomorrow! COYH
This, this and this again. I'll admit I was guilty of this at Palace last year, but only because I didn't think we'd actually get so close. There is no point in singing it until there's no chance of us not going up, so save that chant for another time. I won't be there tomorrow but please, let's not do that.
It's a new thing so people don't lose heart if it doesnt get going straight away, might take some time although to be honest 3,000 fans + away + first game shouldn't need any extra motivation. The day Watford fans carry on singing even when the opposition score the memory of Wembley will be laid to rest.
Oh and one more thing. Please not constant songs about Marlon King being a rapist haha. I'm sure the songs will be brought out but not for too long I hope.
I think it will be a little while before we manage to sing through the opposition scoring a goal tbh, but I hope we can sustain singing during open play tomorrow
