Regardless of whether people agree with her policies of not, someone's Mother/Grandmother/Auntie has died. Let's see if we have more class than other forums.

Why is everyone saying 'You're in no position to comment on her if you wern't alive in her reign as PM'? Under the same rules that means I'm not allowed to state how bad Hitler was, because I didn't experience it, or Stalin. What a load of *******s.

(P.s I'm not saying she was like Hitler, just an example)

How many mothers, grandmothers and aunties lives did she destroy with her callous war against the poor? Not to mention the men and the children. How many suicides and divorces?

How many mothers, grandmothers and aunties lost their sons, fathers and uncles who were murdered on board the General Belgrano?

    Tramp the dirt down.

(PS Disgusted my other posts on this subject have been removed. Political censorship of the most craven kind. Maggie would have approved wholeheartedly).

Not a waste at all, quite the opposite. She was the Prime Minister for 11 years so deserves it whatever our political views.

I trust there will be a huge turnout of the dispossessed to disrupt the funeral.

    I'm certainly up for it.

Just a guess but I reckon it's a knee jerk reaction because popular opinion on Thatcher has been driven by biased media in the last 20 years. There's no reason why considered opinion can't be given by someone not of that era.

Sad news indeed. A feminist icon, and invented Mr Whippy ice cream too. The greatest peace time politician deserves a ceremonial funeral with full military honours, as that's whats been accorded by the queen.

Think again about what you wrote, there was nothing political about it just the celebration of someone's death with an insult thrown in for good measure.

Like I've said above there's no issue with discussing or disagreeing with the policies, it's where it gets personal that a line is crossed.

    A feminist icon?

    WHAT?

As one who suffered under her tyranny, I can assure you that every feminist I ever knew was absolutely gutted that the first ever woman pm was an extreme right winger who ironically set their cause back a generation.

For those who didn't experience the reign of this dear close friend of Reagan and Pinochet, I can assure you that Britain was a lot kinder, gentler and more pleasant place to live before her arrival. She destroyed this country's industry and tore apart its social fabric without a second thought. She had no conscience and no humanity.

ermmm my post got removed? How bizarre. I didn't say anything mildly offensive, explanation please....

p.s. What I wrote was quite a factual statement, and I am not rejoicing in her death, far from it. Some people in Wales and the north, will be happy, end of.

She was a frail old lady with Alzheimers disease. Now isn't the time for point scoring or personal attacks.

Comparing Thatcher to Bin Laden is a little OTT though.

Not normally iamofwfc, but I make a special exception in the death of a murderous tyrant.

A grand attempt will be made over the next few days by the feral rich, the spivs, the thieves and shysters to 'big up' Thatcher's memory and try to rehabilitate her in the eyes of the population.

There will be many, many millions of us who will never forget or forgive her crimes against humanity.

Let's hope we also get a voice.

Having seen the plans for her grave, I'm a bit concerned that the dance floor isn't going to be big enough.

Love her or hate her she certainly divides opinion and better than the wimps we have with all the three major parties now.

It really quite worrying how human beings can be so happy over someones death. The state of modern Britain now I am afraid. I dont agree with Admin removing posts.

How would people on here feel if people insulted Graham Taylor the same way on Forums, some people up the road hate him but would like to think they could respect a Football man who did make mistakes.

What was so bad about her? I know nothing about her policies etc. as I wasn't born and not overly interested in the history of politics. To me it's pretty horrible to see people happy about her death

So Clive, you suffered did you.....ahh bless and think how sweet your life would have been under communist rule had the unions got their way? What I hate most about people like you is the I'm right you are wrong, personally when I reflect back on that period of time Margaret Thatcher was the perfect PM, do you not recall we were the sick man of Europe, constant strikes, shoddy rubbish industry and products. Also I think you will find Argentina invaded us not t'other way round. The belgrano was a war ship not a holiday cruiser......of course I may be mistaken on those points. It's a bit sad that the anti Thatcher people can't show some grace, shame on you

It isn't often that I am moved to say such things on this Forum, but this post and your previous efforts on this thread are probably the biggest load of tosh that you have ever written and that takes some doing.

Her political enemies, the likes of Denis Healey, Callaghan, etc, seem to be full of praise for her achievments, her strength of character, etc, whilst also admitting that the unions had far too much power and needed to be reigned in. You obviously, are either pretending that you know what you are on about, or you have selective memory and have forgotten having to deal with 10 foot high bags of rotting filth and rubbish outside our front doors and own our main streets during the labour years of the 3 day week

Will you be doing the same for Tony Blair? He is responsible for far more deaths in Illegal pointless wars we could never win? and leaving the Country on the brink being Bankrupt?

As you can prob tell I was not a Blair fan but would never celebrate his death and would show his followers and family a bit of respect, he had a very hard job to do and had to make some big decisions

    Is it?

She was more than happy to support and cossett Pinochet's regime in Chile (a good friend of Britain apparently), which killed more people than were killed on 9/11 and 7/7 combined, so unless you consider the lives of Chileans to be of less value than that of Americans and Brits, then I fail to see how that statement stands up

An apologist for mass murder is the same, be they British or Saudi
