Being reported new 4 year contract for Cathcart and new 5 year contract for Angella both signed today.

Luke is on trial at Wycombe at the moment and scored against Wealdstone last night in their friendly. Funnily enough Stephen McGinn is also on trial at Wycombe!
With 8 new signings (so far) and new contracts for Gomes, Cathcart, Angella and Deeney (have I forgotten anybody? - presumably Igloo's is on the way), anyone who hasn't signed up recently will be clinging on by his fingertips. Those 13, plus Watson and a couple of newcomers, would seem to be the nucleus of our squad for next season.
By all accounts Luke is arguably one of the hardest working graduates we've produced, backed up by Sannino and others. He'll probably get between League 2 and 1 level.

If true, I'd imagine it's because he hasn't been offered the same terms as others who signed a new deal this summer.
I'd have shrugged my shoulders at that during the close season, but now I hope he stays. I'd like to think that the club had doubts about whether he would cut it in the Prem and so have delayed making him an offer until they had a better idea of what's he's now worth. Hopefully the offer will come soon.

That's precisely why I used the word COULD, as he is indeed very similar to Lakaku at the same age, but it remains to see whether he will be as good, we can only hope that he does.
JH93s point still stands though, you're still saying that anyone who's big, black and Belgian COULD end up as good if they're of a similar size. Although by 20, Lukaku had already scored 30+ goals for Anderlecht and had scored 17 goals for WBA...
