    No we didn't.

My personal ticket i got 1 lucky star, and 3 of my numbers were only 1 off.

    Bloody random machine!

    Got one number, nowhere near.

Maximum of 166 mill I think, then it doesn't rise. Gonna have to carry on considering nobody won :(

Let me ask a general question. How do people feel about the forum buying another 6 tickets, (same numbers)? It's £12 a pop. Yes, we can afford it because of the ad income for June, (thanks Malky), but with another £12 that would be £78 spent on lottery tickets so far this year.

That's a good competition prize pool.

If the general concensus is we've tried and enough is enough then we'll stop here, but if people think we should have another try then we'll go with that.

Not sure there's an awful lot of point unless you literally have no other plans for the money. However if you think up numbers and don't play them, those exact numbers WILL come up and you'll cry yourself to sleep.

Odds of winning are 100 million to 1 I've heard, massively unlikely. Yes, someone has too, not sure it's worth risking 78 quid on it though.

I'd be tempted to give it 1 more go and then stop. That's essentially what I am doing with my personal tickets.

One more wouldn't hurt. While it's rolling over I think we'd be daft not to have a go.

OK, we'll have another go. Hopefully it will be won this week. Next time it gets this high we'll buy no more than 2 tickets a time, and then only when the Jackpot is stupidly high like this.

It makes sense to do it once more - I may be mistaken but a shop assistant was explaining earlier that once it reaches a certain figure (£166M maybe?) somebody HAS to win. If nobody gets the correct number of balls the prize gets passed onto the closest runner-up... If thats the case, then the chances of winning are a little bit better.

    Sorry not quite:

'The EuroMillions jackpot can grow to a maximum of 185 million Euros - depending on the exchange rate, this will be around £166 million†.

Once the jackpot has reached its maximum of around £166 million† it will remain at that amount until a lucky player matches all five main numbers and two Lucky Star numbers.

Any additional prize money above £166 million† will be shared between the winners in the next prize-winning level in that draw, as specified in the EuroMillions Game Procedures.'

I'm fairly sure I read that it still must be won via the correct methods, however if somebody doesn't win on Friday, it remains at £166 million on Tuesday and will continue to do so until somebody wins.
When somebody does eventually win, anything that would have been on top of that £166 million will be dealt out to the next best sequence of numbers (which would probably be 5 main numbers, 1 star). So if it isn't won on Friday and is on Tuesday, I'd say another £20 million or so would have been added in that time to the £166 million, so that £20 million would be dished out to anyone who got the next best matches as the jackpot is frozen at 166 mill.

Edit: The above is where I read it, kudos to you.

Got two main numbers and one lucky star last night-

    £5.10 winnings,thats bl00dy disgusting.

For £2 a pop the prize breakdown is pretty poor, unless of course you win the jackpot.

Well considering 1,411,536 have got that combination which means a total payout of 7,198,833.60 I don't think it's that disgusting for very few numbers.

I was reading the T&Cs last night. Without a syndicate agreement, any money you dish out to people on here would be liable to inheritance tax.

Just keep the money and plough it into the club. Then rotate who can use the executive boxes

OK, we've wasted enough money on this 120 million to 1 shot. No more tickets will be purchased from this point onwards. We're better off putting it towards forum competitions like the prediction league.

t did make me think, how many play the 'orns forum lottery ? I only do if i remember.

How many people actually know about it ?

What about a forum lottery of say 3 numbers between 1 and 20
    50 'orns to enter
winning tickets takes 50% - shared and split - no winners it rolls over
2 numbers takes 30% - shared and split up
forum takes 20% for a twice a year super jackpot.

Someone who is quite good with excel might be able to sort out some sort of program to register and keep track of it all.
