Try again this time with a quote. Any takers for this ? Not sure about the admin side so over to you PCFITZ !!
College football is great, there were some top games last weekend, but today is GAME DAY! Bears to win narrowly, or get absolutely walloped today.
Seahawks lose their season opener running the exact play they would have won the Super Bowl with. I think the Titans may be for real... It's going to be a great season if you are Buccaneers hater. Ravens note: Defensive mainstay Terrell Suggs did his Achilles and will be out for the season. That will be tough to overcome...
Well, I don't care I'm going to chalk that up as a 'W'. Very pleasantly surprised with (most of) the Bears performance. Jared Allen needs to remember he has to wait for the damn ball to get snapped before leaping forward, and if Kyle Fuller could play like an NFL player that would be swell. Oh, Jay. So near... Mariota, huh?
Alas I'm not as convinced as you. New season, new coach, new formation, same missed tackles, same Jay Cutler, same result :doom:
Texans looked like absolute trash. Except Hopkins, who looks like he's going to be the real deal over the next couple years.
Yeah, the Bucs will be much much worse than the Titans are better, but with Mariota (whom the Bucs passed on to get Winston) they will put the hurt on some teams this year.
A quote taken from a UK Bears supporters facebook page: "You know... this score doesn't look too bad without the KR td & Pick six". Sums up Bears season already! #AlwaysLookOnTheBrightSide
I have a ton of Raiders fan friends...anyway, I bet a gallon growler of beer and a bottle of bourbon that the Ravens would beat them. So I got that going for me this week...
So the Raiders, Jets, Jags and Bucs all win games they really should have lost on paper. Weird. Also, Tebow to the windy city. Hahahahahahahahahahaha.
I had one of my worst all time pick'em weeks ever EVER and still moved up to 3rd I think... What a world what a world...
There was quite a bit of the CHI v SEA game on red zone and the Bears really suck !!! My expectations now are that we firstly, score some points, secondly win a game (as to go 0-16 is really dire) and thirdly secure the no 1 pick in the draft. No doubt, just like tackles, we'll miss that too !!! J Allen to Panthers - great move front office . It means each sack over the last 18 months only cost about $2.5m
Ravens may be the best 0-3 team in the NFL. Could be 0-4 by Thursday... It would be just like the Ravens to lose to the Gatt Dang Raiders but beat the Steelers. Big Ben looks to be out so Vick starting for Pittsburgh is a wild card...
Eurgh. Plumped for the Raiders on pick 'em. Emery, this is your legacy! All the match-ups look fairly obvious this week - which no doubt means we will all be wrong! First Int'l Series game this week, isn't it?
I have a spare ticket for the game on Sunday at Wembley - Miami Dolphins v New York Jets at 2.30pm. Club Wembley level 2 for £88. Message me to discuss further if you're interested. Dolphins fan myself and looking forward to Sunday. I've followed NFL for a couple of years now, but this season I am full-on into it.
Ladies and gentlemen, your New York Football Jets: http://deadspin.com/the-jets-are-bringing-their-own-toilet-paper-to-london-1734025449
Been a loooooong time since I've been in a town with a Monday Night Football game. Just left Seattle right before kick off of the controversial Seahawks win. Fun atmosphere, but of course the Hawks had to cheat to win again...
I'm not one for Internet gibberish, but FML Ravens lost in OT USA lost in extra time Cal loses to Utah Good thing the Hornets aren't playing today...
Tough to take, that one. Officiating aside, the play calling in OT was far, far too conservative. just don't understand why they persisted with Forte on 3rd down. Thought the Bears were pretty much on top for most of the game - Jay was playing (relatively) well, and then he throws a pick and it unravels. Fuller had another up and down game. That call, though. How does that get reversed and called a TD?
poor Sid Luckman. Holds the Bears TD-pass record for about 200 years and is surpassed by Jay Cutler...
Seen lots of mock-ups lately of Cutler's jersey where his name has been replaced by "PICK" . He's a DB dreamboat !!!
This thread has been severely neglected. I pose 2 resuscitory questions: Who's you comeback player of the year prediction? Which of the new stadiums to be opened in the next few seasons are you most interested in? I'll go with: Jordy Nelson Atlanta - because they've made the beer so cheap
I'll go with Roger Staubach-Because I know a lot of former player names and almost no current player names. Los Angeles-Because maybe I'll finally see an NFL game for the first time in my life?
Ah, good question. The venerable old LA Coliseum is an historic pile of crap. It's great to see once but a terrible place to see games. I'll probably wait for the new stadium unless a ticket magically tumbles into my hands before then.
