Benteke would tear this league apart. If we can get him and Chamakh in January, we'll be unstoppable.

I love Messi, one of the greatest players to ever play football, but i just prefer the way Ronaldo can bang it in from 40 yards.

Has he ever beaten a world-class keeper from 40 yards though? The ones I generally think of have a Scott Loach-esque ability to handle speculative efforts.

He is level. ;) Ronaldos shot accuracy is pretty average as he takes many, many speculative efforts at goal and doesn't create much. Probably will end up at Wastelands with Mourinho.

Benteke scored another 2 today. Ballon D'or winner 2013 - You heard it here first.

You're not his agent are you Cude ? ;) Two more goals for Lionel in the Copa del Rey against second division Cordoba in midweek saw him take his total to 88 goals for the season preempting claims by Brazilians that Zico had scored 87 in one calendar year . A claim from the Zambian FA that a player called Godfrey Chitalu scored 107 in one year have also been rubbished given the appalling record keeping of African football and more so in his playing era.

Just offer him a Fortnum and Mason food hamper in perpetuity Cude. That should keep him satisfied......;) Seriously he is a decent player and Belgium have several youngsters in a very competitive squad. They've been there before in the early eighties led by Pfaff and it look's like their time is coming around again.

We ought to have a useless XI sometime in this section of current EPL players. Bentley is another.

Would be a good thread, but i'd be interested to see which goalkeeper is seen as the most useless.

On current form Reina would be favourite for the spot given the defence infront of him is seen as better than that protecting Federici or Cesar. I'm off now so perhaps tomorrow. It's a given Liverpool will feature heavily in this though. Panic buying in extremis is not the best idea. :)

I think if I was playing League football in Zambia, I'd struggle to score less than triple digits in a season.

Two more goals for Leo against second placed Atletico Madrid last night. So he has reached 90 for the calendar year with just one game left against Real Vallodolid. He has score more goals than most clubs have this year as a whole.

The way he is going he is likely to break his goalscoring total for last season as well.

2 goals and an assist on the Athletico goal. Not a bad nights work. Love the commentary on that video as well, I wish we had passionate commentators like that instead of the drones that Sky Sports and the BBC serve up.

I agree about the commentary here. It is pretty bland as a whole and a lot if it focuses on referees and highlighting something they might have only a split second to react to. Jonathan Pearce in particular is a very tabloid commentator.

Yawn........ Have you actually checked the statistics ? I also didn't see Iniesta or Xavi playing for Argentina last year unless I am very much mistaken. Players like Ozil. di Maria and Benzema of course are completely rubbish so that poor old Ronaldo has to do everything himself at the Bernebeu.

What do people expect? Yoda was hounded off this forum back in his younger years. He's spent the last 2 years getting angrier and angrier, forced to keep all transfer rumours to himself. He was always going to explode in a blaze of fury eventually.

Oh sure, reply when he's against the mighty Bradford. Not pressuring him at all are you! Watch this space.

Yoda is minor, was never seen as a legend or anything close to it. The one I want to see make a guest appearance is Nak108, now he was a legend.

Even his avatar looks somehow different..

It used to be a cute Watford shirt wearing, happy go lucky, yoda thing but now it looks meaner.. angrier.. embittered.

That's because was forced by the Jedi Council to take part in those Vodafone advertisements. He cannot abide the thought of having to perform for those tax dodgers. It goes against all his principles......

Liam Henderson was a legend. At least in his own mind. ;) Back up in the North East now .If he was only as prolific at scoring as he was drinking Newcastle Brown he might have amounted to something.....

Alejandro Sabella the current Argentina manager and many a newspaper editor in Spain have run out of words to describe Messi so they've created a new adjective which amounts to doing something incredibly brilliant:

    http://www.sportsgrid.com/media/lionel-messi-word-spanish-dictionary-inmessionante/

Leo was superb against Sweden as was the whole midfield and attack. He also had a goal unfairly disallowed and had to deal with a pitch invader. Innocent as it was you can't help but feel that we don't want a repeat of a Monica Seles type incident.

Yoda has to support ex-United players due to Vodafone's close links.
