Did anyone else see Penaranda's RKO in the Venezuela match? Go watch the highlights on his transfer thread and you will see it.

Speaking of WWE in other sports, In Baseball over here, A player called Manny Machado hit a pretty decent DDT recently

they must have locked Vince in a room recently because the writing as been good. KO as champ never would have guessed

It was a pretty cool twist. The main thing was no one wanted reigns to win.

Tonight is the first PPV I've been genuinely excited for in years.

Still can't believe my main man Goldberg is on the card!

Literally the best thing I've ever seen. Goldberg is still the f**king man and somehow still almost exactly the same as he was 12 years ago.

    Monster.

Having him win in like 50 seconds, made me feel very bad for Sting.

Lesnar has run roughshod over the roster fro the last 2 years and then a 49 year old man who hasn't wrestle for 12 years beats him in less than 2 mins.

I just don't understand why they booked that. It makes the Undertaker and the rest of the roster look weak.

I expect fall out on Raw

  19. NathWFC

    NathWFC First Team

The rest of the roster are weak compared to Goldberg, 49 or not. There isn't anyone, even now, that can match the natural intensity, the believability or the aura that Goldberg brings to the table.

People complain about WWE not building new stars but whilst some of the booking can be awful, there just isn't the megastar ability or charisma there in any of the current roster.

You can book whoever you want to beat whoever you want, but it isn't going to instantly make them a star if they just don't have "it" about them, and unfortunately that applies to most of the roster.

That's a problem not only with the overall booking and writing but also this insistence on 50/50 booking for most of the performers.

Any one catch the Royal Rumble. Overall I thought it was good. Can't really judge it untill Raw and Smackdown this week.

Yes watched it last night. Something very off with the Charlotte Bailey match. Charlotte looked like she was sandbagging and I'm sure she was given a prober slap at one point to sort herself out.

I see no point in giving Boreton the win. Should have been Wyatt. I think I would have even preferred Reigns.
Two major stories were pretty much wasted.

The worst kept secret in rumble history, there was pretty much zero introduction for Dillinger if you don;t watch NXT then his debut was absolutely meaningless.
Luke Harper turning was massive, but again got 5 seconds. Expect him to dissapear into obscurity within a year which is a shame because he has the skills to be one of the top big men.

Why was Jericho actually in the rumble? did someone else pull out?

And pretty much no supprise entries or old favourites other than those we knew about.
no Samoa Joe, Nakamura, Someonefrom the attitude era like Road Dogg or Kurt freaking Angle?
I actually think there's merit in havign 40 people now, given the 5 separate brands.

The best bit was Gentleman Jack Gallagher and William III

I watched it and its the first ppv ive watched (replay stream) in a while. I thought the cena vs styles match was exceptional. I thought the rumble sucked actually. Goldberg taking out lesnar again was cool, but the ending did nothing for me. No.30 should have been a big surprise entry like Angle.

Rumour is Oldberg shouldn't have gone out when he did.

I'd take it further and suggest that Orton was an emergency winner and Oldberg was the planned recipient. Orton winning just made no sense.

Late to the party with this but no way Goldberg was supposed to win. Orton had been rumoured as the winner in the days leading upto the event and was something like 1/10 to win with the bookies in the hours leading upto the event. A terrible, boring outcome, but certainly a planned one.

Also please show some more respect to Bill <3

Its definitely better than the past 6, this one actually had legend matches and surprise returns that are actual surprises unlike many others ! 30 was descent but this was still better, I was a bit fed up of the rock !

It was poor, overall. The match quality just wasn't there.

    - Rollins and HHH had no wrestling chemistry.
    - Orton and Wyatt was simply boring with a sh*te outcome.
    - Goldberg and Lesnar was at least pretty fast paced and intense but in the end nothing more than a spamfest of 4 moves which is a shame because they are both, particularly Lesnar, capable of so much more.
    - Reigns and Undertaker was an absolute disaster. Full of botches, slow and Undertaker looked an absolute f**king state. He was great back in the day but he should have retired 5 years or so ago.
    - Womens matches make me want to instantly zone out or change the channel.
    - The crowd were awful. Sick of "smarks" that change their tiny minds like the wind, think everything is all about them and throw strops as soon as they don't get the new thing they want as soon as they demand it, and show complete disrespect to some of the talent. Also created little noise or atmosphere bar the return (OK, I know I've said it was a poor show so not much to shout about but f**k me when you've likely paid hundreds or thousands to be there then you may as well get involved and make some noise).

-For Rollins vs HHH I was happy that HHH did the honours and took an L for what is ''best for business''
-Wyatt was a disappointment and Orton has lost all charisma he's one of the most boring performers in the company+ Wyatt should of won
-Goldberg and Lesnar I completely agree
-The match was good and told a story I found they sold well, however the finish was irritating and I wouldn't of had Reigns end the streak
-Last for the crowd that is the way they are these days "Smarks", always the same atmosphere craving to be back in the attitude era, in complete denial that the company moved on !

The hardy's return was great, cant wait for them to create a stable with Wickham and name it "the High Flying Eagles"
as for the undertaker i am pretty sure this is not his last match, and he will end his career where it all begun at survivor series
