I use to watch WWF regularly but since its changed to WWE I never really watch it but I might watch the occasional ECW match.

a couple of talking points since last post here:

    - Shawn Michaels returned to Raw as it was announced he was being inducted into the wwe hall of fame. He was interrupted by Alberto Del Rio in the ring, HBK superkicked him and completely stole the show. HBK did with one kick, that most wrestlers may never do, by sending the whole crowd absolutely wild.

    - Wade Barrett moved to Smackdown and has formed a new stable with old nexus members Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater as well as strongman Ezekial Jackson. They are known as THE CORRE (yes, apparently its spelt this way).

    - CM Punk became the new leader of Nexus, who have a new member in Batista-lookalike Ryan Mason.

    - HHH looks like he will make an in-ring return at the Royal Rumble. Strong rumours that he will face Undertaker at wrestlemania.

    - No news yet on when Jericho will return to the WWE, not too long I hope.

    - Matt Hardy joined TNA.

Im going to mania this year,as soon as i heard Michaels was going into the hall of fame i had to get tickets for that aswell.

Its good to see 2 big groups now with Corre & Nexus. I see Mason is Welsh ,so its good to have a brit in each group. With the 2 groups in the rumble that should make it really interesting.

I heard Triple H will come back at the rumble. Undertaker should make wrestlemania, as where christain and jerricho are expected back after mania.

That's awesome man. Always wanted to go to Mania. I think next time one of the shows comes to Houston i'll make an effort to go just to see what it is like up close! Got here just after the TLC pay-per-view sadly.

Punk needs to go back to commentating, he was brilliant. Triple H coming back will spice things up a bit. Tbh, i think just recently the story lines started to get a little bit edgier. Obviously not like it was back in the good old days, but a little more intense. Probably because Linda's political game ended.

    Jericho is needed big time.

Personally I think Jericho is overrated. He's good on the mic but he's pushing 40 now and not as entertaining in the ring as he once was. Likewise with Triple H, Undertaker etc. Really they need to let the new breed take over.

I've seen a WWE house show in Birmingham, was pretty good but lacked the entrances and commentary that a televised show would have. Undertaker (American Badass character) pretty much hosted it. But managed to see Eddie & Chavo Guerrrero, Kurt Angle etc. Was a good card.

More recently I was in Florida and Saw TNA Genesis. It was the Debut of Booker T who managed a spineroonie or two:biggrin:. Again a great experience, Managed to See Abyss, The Dudleys, Kurt Angle again. Abyss really is a nutter, was locked in a cupboard and pushed off the stage, rumoured he dislocated his shoulder doing that.

Fair cop, but I was really only having a bit of joke with you.

Most "Wrestlers" are extremely athletic, so much so that I would have thought they could have chosen other sports to participate professionally in, still I suppose they are probably in it for the money?

hehe i know fella. there are quite a lot of ex-wrestlers who participate in mma and ufc, and i think some of them used to play college american football.

I went to see RAW taped in London last year I think it was? (May have been 2009).. was a very good show, a different perspective seeing it live. I also saw them film a PPV (Capital Carnage) back in 1997 - in the days of Stone Cold Steve Austin, and went to see WCW at some point in the noughties. Bit of a let-down.

Any predictions for the rumble. I suspect Cena to win the rumble and face miz at wrestlemania.

hmm its an interesting one. i wouldnt be surprised if a heel won it this year. hhh will return and knock sheamus out to set up a new feud.

Highly likely that HHH will come back and win it

I very much doubt he would win it. They are pushing alot of new talent now, so there is no need for triplle H to headline mania.

Maybe Del Rio to win? Rumours that he will face Edge at WM.

yer thats what i was thinking, they seem to be pushing him a lot at the moment. no surprise though as he certainly has talent and has been developing quite a strong feeling of animosity from the fans.

Dear oh dear, first time I've watched WWE properly in a couple of years and it is truly awful now. Massive lack of real stars left, serious lack of any effort in the production (the Royal Rumble arena looks exactly the same as Raw, wtf is that all bout?), the wrestlers they are trying to make big are just terrible and will never be anything even close to the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold, Goldberg, Sting, Undertaker etc. It's completely aimed at little kids now that can't see it for what it really is and is just generally a huge, steaming pile of crap.

It is genuinely embarrassing how bad it is now compare to 10-15 years ago. TNA isn't great either compared to WCW and WWE of old, but at least there's still some real legends, some genuine up and coming stars and it's not aimed completely at 5 year olds. After that sh*te I literally won't ever watch WWE again unless I hear it has completely changed in almost every way. The WWE are only 100% concerned about one thing now and that is money.

if you thought that was bad you should have seen last years rumble. this one had some generally interesting moments in it. the edge vs ziggler fight was reasonably good, i quite liked the nexus segment in the rumble as it got the crowd really angry. the only bit i was not a fan off was the hornswoggle bit, but like you said they did that for the kids.

i did think alberto del rio would win it, but my night was made by the return of Bookter T at number 21. that was the number i picked in the rumble and although he didnt last long it was cool to see him back.

I thought the rumble was really good. Edge vs Ziggler was good. Its good to see that they are giving the younger guys a chance. The stand out moment in the rumble for me was morrison jumping back into the ring.

apparently booker t has a contract now that will last a while with the wwe, hope the same is true for nash. as he walked out of the arena he walked past big show and gave him a couple of 'come and have a go' type of looks, that would be an interesting storyline.
