kane is kicking *** again at the moment. seems he is on his final run before retiring, they brought back paul bearer which has been a highlight of recent programming. little bit tired of the storylines at the moment to be honest.

the wwe is missing shawn michaels big time.

Yeah but it's just not the same, he can kick all the arse he likes without his mask he is nothing.

WWE has just declined and declined since about 2004, it's become more and more aimed at little kids (less violence, no blood, no swearing, less wrestling and more ridiculous story lines etc.) most of the big names have gone and because it doesn't take TNA seriously they've stopped pushing themselves, the WWE product is extremely stale now.

The worst thing WWE ever did was kill WCW, in WCW (my favourite as a kid) the WWE has a real competitor to push them to better their product, and vice versa, now, unless TNA buck their ideas up as well, it seems the WWE aren't bothered about improving, just keeping 8 year olds happy and making as much money as possible.

I was mad for WWF in the mid 90s all the way through to early 2000. Especially like British Bulldog and Hart Foundation. I remember the legendary Intercontinental match up between the Hitman and Bulldog, immense!

Later on, you could not beat this man and possibly the best/worst finishing move of all time, the Worm!

I got my wrestlemania ticket last week. I hope the Undertaker will be fit for mania.

I loved Too Cool, Scotty too Hotty and Grand Master Sexay. Did you know that GMS is Jerry the King Lawler's son? Was funny when they had Albert as well as the Hip Hop Hippo.

Lookin like he'll feature but will be a squash or tag match. They can't kill the streak but he's on his last legs.

I read a while ago that the general feeling was he'd be good to go for 'Mania.

cena fired last night at the survivor series ppv, has to be some kind of angle as he is their most valuable performer.

rumours are that undertaker may just be fit in time for wrestlemania after having surgery for a torn rotator cuff. however he seems to spend most of his time injured at the moment. he is desperate to make it to 20 shows, but i dont think his body can handle it tbh.

i liked the worm, but then i like stupid finishers, i think the cobra is brilliant!

Santino is one of the most underrated wrestlers on the roster. He can actually wrestle, but his mic work is golden.

Saw TNA on pootube for the first time in about 6 months.

It seems to be going down the tubes at an alarming rate since the WWE boys took over everything.

None of the storylines make any sense, there seem to be far too many wrestlers to keep up with, the X Division has disappeared, all the originals seem to have been sacked and it smacks of an ex-WWE job centre.

Why is AJ a heel? Why is Jarrett a heel? Why is Abyss now the centre of everything? Why is Ric Flair there? Why is Hogan now a wrestler?

The whole thing stinks. The tag teams and X-Division used to be absolutely quality, they used to have innovative matches full of blood and risk, they had a majority of their own talent and a chosen few (largely non-WWE) older wrestlers in. The women when awesome kon and gail kim were around was really good too. It was a really entertaining show.

Currently in TNA, Hogan and Bishof have performed a hostile takeover, with the Fortune stable as their backups.
Not a fan of the story myself but seeing Jeff Hardy as Heel for the first time in his career is something different.

Everyone is expecting Fatt Hardy to join although there is speculation as to whether he will feud with Jeff or join him.

Did you see this week's episode? The Motorcity Machine Guns vs Generation Me Tag match was superb. Almost an X div match really. Also they do a 2nd show, Xplosion where you get a couple more technical matches and it's less storyline driven. I'd certainly look out for those if I were you.

What an excruciatingly stupid way to end the PPV. Isn't it so obvious Cena really isn't going to be 'fired'?

  14. Optimistichornet

    Optimistichornet Penguin Assassin

yer exactly, still apparently hhh is close to an in-ring return. thank god.

i also agree santino is very funny and a good wrestler, he will never be a great but he definately does the job of a roster filler adequately. :italian:

It'll be cool to see HHH come back.

I can just see some cringe-worthy 'goodbye' from Cena tonight on Raw which ends with the GM making a match for TLC, Cena vs Barrett, if Cena loses he's gone.

Cena will be back before the rumble. They could have done some much more with cena nexus storyline.

  17. wfcwarehouse

I agree. But saying that, something tells me it's not done yet.

Am I the only one who really wanted Cena to actually turn and become some huge monster heel?

  18. Optimistichornet

    Optimistichornet Penguin Assassin

no it would have been a good storyline, but it was never going to happen. he is the young fans favourite and sells tonnes of merchandise. making him heel right now wouldnt be an economical choice as far as vince mcmahon and the investors are concerned.

he was a heel in the past though when making his way into the business.

i dont think it is done either, can see the new GM being announced sometime soon, maybe it was cena all along? tht would be just the sort of **** the creative team at wwe would be able to write. it would make no sense whatsoever.

  19. wfcwarehouse

    wfcwarehouse First Team Captain

You make a lot of sense OH. I fully understand why he probably will never turn, but it could be just like when Hulk Hogan turnt in the old WCW? That led to some of the highest ratings and best tv ever seen in the business.

I remember old heel cena, that would be quality right about now.

As for him being the GM? I like it. I did think it was JR, but I've veered away from that now. It could very well be Cena.

just read about what happened in last nights raw.

apparently cena came out and said goodbye to everyone, all the kids started to cry. he left, barrett gets a rematch that night against orton. barrett about to win cue cena running in and pulling the ref out of the ring, the rest of nexus attacks cena and he flees into the crowd. barrett turns around orton rko's him and wins. nexus enter and beat up orton, cue the miz to enter. he cashes in his money in the bank briefcase and despite a comeback from orton pins him for the title.

miz as the wwe champion is an interesting one, as he is probably one of the better performers in wwe, even though he isnt the biggest.

was disappointed not to see HHH back as gm.

I Just watched Raw. I think raw was even better then SS the night before. Its great to see Miz as the champ but doubt he will hold it for long. Looking forward to king of the ring next week on raw.

Likewise. I'd like to see him hold the strap for a while but I can't see it.

Cena vs Barrett at TLC is almost a given IMO.

  23. Optimistichornet

apparently that raw got a very good rating, it got a 3.2 or something which is 3.2 million viewers, whereas the monday night nfl only got an 8.1 which is very poor for that.

was interesting to see the storyline pan out, we all knew cena wouldnt get fired but apparently he will now wrestle under the guise of juan cena (cenas mexican cousin) and wear a mask for house shows. i imagine he will be written back in to fight barrett at some point in the future.

i find myself really enjoying the santino/kozlov segments at the moment, hopefully they can win the tag titles off nexus pretty soon.

miz as the wwe champion was something i wasnt sure on, but the guy is perhaps the best promo worker in the business and has worked incredibly hard and deserves his shot. long may it continue. cos hes the miz...........and hes...............awesooooooooooooooooooome!

He did a dry run on NXT a few weeks ago. Was wearing his wrestling gear and the classic quote was:

I think we will not see Cena again till the rumble what i think he will win. With king of the ring next week i predict Del Rio to win.

i dont know m8, thts almost 2 and a half months away, i would not be at all surprised if he was wrestling at TLC in a short while. i just hope the miz retains into the new year.

i like cm punk, thought the straight edge society was a great stable, which unfortunately was canned too quickly by creative. they had the potential there to make it a strong stable like there hasnt been in a long time, i.e i refer to things like the ministry of darkness and dx when it was more than just hbk and hhh. he is doing the announcing thing because of an injury right?

nxt should be dropped, its a rubbish show, surely this is its last series right?

Punk is very under-rated. I really liked his quick wit.

I see on twitter Cena says he has a ticket for Raw next week. I find that news disappointing. He should be gone for a few weeks at least.

The straight edge society could have been so much better. Now all but Punk have been fired. WWE really lack any tag teams so I'm surprised SES never had the tag belts.

I hear it is the last season of NXT. That show really is awful.

I think Miz will keep the belt till elimination chamber. I cant see him being champ going into wrestlemania. I will be going to wrestlemania, and i want to see the best guys in the title fights, and not the Miz. I dont think Miz is ready to headline mania just yet.

yer it is a shame, but it was always an angle. its not like he has a movie to go and film at the moment, hes not injured and with other stars like jericho, undertaker, hhh and hbk unavailable through injury, retirement and music tours it would take a braver man than mcmahon to withdraw his no.1 star from the active roster.

i dont like the idea of having cena wrestle under the name juan cena at house shows, find that a little weird.

nxt was always going to fail the concept was poor. however good things have come from it, daniel bryan and the nexus stable for example. i think the nexus angle got a little old but now they have the tag belts you actually feel like they have a purpose again which is nice. kaval also has the potential to be a useful roster member.

how would you like miz vs santino in a steel cage match for the wwe championship at wrestlemania. :italian:

Apparently the WWE are bringing back Tough Enough at the expense of NXT.

I'm not sure about the Juan Cena angle. It reminds of the Hulk Hogan 'Mr America' gimmick from a few years back. I reckon it could turn out to be more entertaining then that one though.

I'm a huge fan of The Nexus. Their original beatdown of Cena is probably one of the most memorable moments of the year.

hehe turn it into a hell in a cell match with hornswoggle as a lumberjack, that would be brilliant.

with regards to nexus their cena beat down was brilliant tv. beating up the commentators was a nice touch. there is also a brilliant clip where the nexus turned up at an fcw event where christian and miz were in the ring. the ref then teams up with christian and miz who put up a brief fit before getting beaten down.

I've seen that FCW vid. Very well done.

Apparently WWE are really pushing to get Brock Lesnar in for WM, for a match with The Undertaker. Not sure if I'd like that. As cool as Lesnar was back in the day I'd like to see 'Taker take on a current superstar.
