STRIKER Danny Graham is amongst the close-knit group of players who have seen mixed fortunes for the Hornets through this season and the former Middlesbrough man said that positivity is the key as they move into the busy Easter schedule.

He said: "I think you just have to stay positive, you have to be positive when you come into training and before a game.

"You've got to realise that if you don't get into the right areas and take the chances we won't win the games.

"Everyone's been positive, even though Tuesday's defeat was really hard to take.

"We're a positive group of lads, we're all confident in our own ability and now we have to show that."

This week the squad have been working hard on the training pitch as they reviewed and reflected on recent performances.

"We've not only got a tough schedule ahead but a massive schedule too.

"The result was disappointing but the performance was good.

"We created a lot of chances but we didn't score the goals. At the end of the day we've got two games in three days and we're looking at picking some points up over the Easter weekend.

"I think Palace's second goal summed it up for us - they hit the post and then it fell to the floor for them to stick it into the net, we just don't seem to be getting that luck.

"But we have to work hard in training on the finishing side and the defensive side and we've just got to stick together."

The Geordie emphasised how important the Watford fans had been for the players throughout the season and thanked them for their support.

"I think both the fans and players would take anything right now - even if the ball comes down and hits them in the face to go in!

"It must be hard for the fans too, as we had a good start to the season.

"Their support has been great and we want to get a win for them, get some luck in front of goal and change our fortune around."

malky needs to start saying crap like " we can take positives" and actually get us a result. they cant give up. they need to get stronger in defence pass more wuickly and give more ball to cleverly!

I agree with Graham, all the players (with the exception of a couple) and Malky should stick together in f**king off.

Although I agree with this, Cleverley has a tendency of being a tad greedy of late, i.e he would rather curl an aimless ball into the middle than pick out the simple pass to someone in a better position - something he did a number of times against 'Boro.

If I was Cleverley, I wouldn't pass to most of my team mates either.

Close, couldn't remember what county Basingstoke was in off the top of my head, anyway, his family mostly live around Reading and South Bucks now.

Oh, and Smudger his girlfriend works with mine at River, so spoken to him once or twice.
