For christ sake we REALLY don't need that.

He's about 100 years old, if he's happy sitting on the bench as 4th striker then that's fine.

That would be a signing. An appaling one. I'd rather have Massey and Deeney on the bench. Yes Phillips is a goalscorer but he is ancient and on such high wages.

Doesn't matter anywhere, its not the sort of target Malky would look at

Yeah, what a terrible signing that would be, a proven, top goalscorer at this level, a known good professional, and someone who could really help to develop all these talented, up and coming strikers. It'd be a far better idea to simply continue to rely only on unproven youngsters and chuck them in at the deep end if we have any injuries.

Don't worry about bringing Taylor back either, let's just get one of the left backs from the under 12's and give him a good go.

    :forehead:

Only thing that would put me off is as others have said wages. In footballing terms he would be fantastic to have around for a number of reasons.

Watford are willing to offer Troy Deeney + £500,000 in a swap deal for Charlie Austin, the money of which will come from the sale of Stephn McGinn to Rangers.

If Watford make it to the Premier League in the next two seasons then a further payment of £150,000 will have to be made and a sell on clause of over 20% will be contracted.

    I wish

    Footie rumours, they then added..

Watford are prepared to let top scorer Danny Graham leave Watford for Wolves for £5m. This profit will be used to recruit Charlie Austin (£2.2m) and secure the signing of Jordan Much from Birmingham (£700,000) and Andrew Taylor from Boro (£200,000) on 3 year contracts.

    You heard it hear first.

I genuinely think without Graham the team would fall apart, even with the addition of those players.

I desperately want us to sign Taylor, but not at the expense of losing Danny, he is irreplaceable.

I read that too. If you're going to make stuff up at least make it a little realism.

He'd be worse than bad. He trained at Randers FC a Danish super league club and couldn't get a contract there - he's sh!te.

Freddy Adon't has a few good soccer moments in him but he will l never find them overseas. that boy needs to come home and get some first team playing time, not hang around in Euro club houses waiting for something that will never happen.

I remember when newspapers were comparing him to Pelé and Man Utd were 'interested' in him.

What happened? Other than lack of development.

He's supposed to be 28 now, thats why he was 'so good' at age 17.

    You missed the point Stevie.

Freddie was rumoured to be several years older than 16 when he was starring in the MLS.

No, not US and not MLS...

    NIKE...

Freddy hasn't progressed at all in his game since he was 14, when he was absolutely destroying all the other 14 year olds in the world. I don't think he is much older than his reported age, if at all, though the records kept in Ghana may leave something to be desired.

As I noted before, he has some untapped footy left in him somewhere and I hope we get to see it, just not in England. He is too smallish and frailish to make it in the very physical game in England.

The thought was his game could be honed in Spain or France instead, but I think there is something wrong with him, something uncoachable about him that is really holding him back. Most normal people would have caught a clue by now but not Freddy. He still has a bit lower to go before he goes up again.
