So what would you call a fair price ?

About £15, £20 tops at this level. Silly prices are charged for decent top level sides, not yo-yo clubs like ourselves playing in the second tier of English football

    Agree that £30 is hysterical.

But to be frank its a mugs game to pay more even to watch premier teams.

£40 to watch the Arse flatten some no-hopers? - no thanks.

£50 to watch Chelsea? Big flippin' yawn.

    our club take the pi*s

11.50 for a 16-18 year old to go and see watford at coventry

sensible tickets prices at coventry even tho they have a brand new ground

everywhere i have been this session have somthing like a young adult ticket for the ages of 16-21.

at watford you pay 30 quid to sit in a sh*t ground and probly have a not so good view

what about your average saturday game?

It's always 15 quid for those age categories, whether it's Hull or West Brom.

ive had a season ticket for most of my life, but i feel its taking the p*ss a bit to charge more than clubs with much better facilities

£15 is pretty average for this level. Some clubs don't even have a category for over 16s other than adult (like Scunthorpe - £18) while Coventry is pretty much an exception. It's good of them though.

i think alot of other clubs make it good value for young people to watch them

at hull city for example under 16's pay 9 quid to watch them at home

and the most a adult will pay is 23

for two adults and two children to go and watch a hull home game, in a brand new stadium will cost 50 quid

yet for the same at watford it would cost 70

What's the capacity now? Is 15-16000 a good crowd for a team that's top of the table?

I don't want to see the kids a quid again with those frigging thunderstix but some fairly regular decently priced promotions to attract the new fan would be a good idea.

While I agree that the price was probably a bit OTT, I disagree totally with the "sh*t ground" statement. QPR was a sh*t ground and charged £22 for the privelage of no space, no chance of a drink at halftime and a cr4p view for many. At Watford I get a good seat, with legroom and a decent view, easy to get in and out, a bl00dy good bar with TV's everywhere.

Fair point - but like many of the others in this thread I think £15-20, possibly £25 at a push would be fairer for pay on the day tickets. I would say that the reason ticket prices are higher is that we're competing at a high level (in our respective league) and that with the building work/new bars/merchandising the club wants to keep a steady income, but surely we've got a sizeable chunk in the bank with the sales of Ash and Boozer in mind, the parachute payments, TV rights, sponsorship and so forth.

Whilst we're on that point - whatever happened to the 'Buy Back The Vic' collections at every match? From what I can remember that money was never used to repurchase the ground, as my understanding was we took out a loan for that. If I'm wrong feel free to clear up my confusion.

for me buying it back was neva a quiston, it was why did we sell it in the first place, never realy understood why.

It was used, but it was only a small percentage of the overall cost.
