    I can answer that for him...

    He watched Watford trounce Luton 4-1 on TV years ago and thought what a fantastic team, better than those gypos in white, I'll support them.

    In all seriousness, it was due to an old Watford Vs. Chelski cup game on German TV, and our team work and resolve amazed him...
