Maybe none of these forwards we seem to br going for and not signing are not convinced by Aidy they will be 1st choice alongside King and would rather join for somebody where they might be (H moved to Bolton for Prem footie and more money - fair enough)

We managed to bring in a winger, goalie and defender which we were lacking a bit but no luck forward wise.

We should only get really worried though if Henderson leave and if King gets injured.

Still time to get someone in SURELY!?

I think you are right, I was thinking the very same thig earlier

Arsenal always struggeled to get decent strikers in because they knew that Henry was always going to be first choice, same as Newcastle because of Shearer.

Why should a player come when they know that they will be fighting to be 2nd choice or to keep the bench warm

You would hope we have no players who assume they are guaranteed first choice surely?

We have enough strikers to get promoted.

Law of averages - with the 143 strikers we have on our books, we are more likely to have someone who turns out to be very good than if we have 2 strikers.

Trouble is we probably don`t have enough `strikers` - although we have some players who aim to be.

Ignoring Boozer (who is going) we have Marlon, Hendo, and Priskin.

The others are either trainee strikers, or befuddled ex strikers.:)

but if we are going out for quality strikers this shouldnt matter

e.g hh knew he would be above dorius and would partner king so i cant see how many other squad strikers we have would make a difference

What's wierd is that we're trying to get in a top notch striker now, but not last season when we were actually in the prem

Hoskins isnt in either of those categories. Admittedly he was well out of his depth in the prem but this could be a big season or the nipper from rotherham!

Oh I dearly hope you are right!

If Hendo really is disenchanted and on his way - this could be the big chance for Hoskins.

I have confidence he is good and will make it in a winning team, but if we start slowly and he is thrown in - it could be asking too much of him.

    King
    Priskin

    Kabba probably going off elsewhere
hendo good as gone unless a major pr stunt is pulled off

    Moses injured
    Hoskins out of his depth

Hence why last week we put all our eggs in two buying two new strikers.

I'd play Bouazza up front ahead of Kabba and Hoskins.

I'd play my deceased grandmother ahead of Kabba.

Half of me wants to give Kabba another shot. The other half thinks he should be shot.

Disagree mate. I personally think Aidy knew Helguson wasn't coming hence the interest in Campbell. I don't think he'd have signed both.

I also don't think Hoskins is out his depth in the Championship (guess we'll soon find out) and Moses I believe is now fit?

As much as I really don't like Kabba i'd have him here as fifth striker behind King, Priskin, Henderson and Hoskins.

Now Boothroyd has missed out on a new striker he HAS to make a stand and sell NOBODY, no matter what's offered!!!

Shittu, Bouazza, Henderson and Kabba can all stay put until next summer...if we haven't achieved promotion expect a mass exodus including Boothroyd!

I say we stick with what we have or try and bring a loan signing in!

King and Priskin would be my first choice pairing with Hoskins, Henderson and Kabba fighting it out for a place on the bench!

    Poom

    Doyley
    Demerit
    Shittu
    Stewart

    McAnuff
    Bangura
    Rinaldi
    Bouazza

    King (captain)
    Priskin

Subs: Lee, Noddy, Mariappa, Williamson and Henderson

    Decent team and subs bench!

With regard to the deal Sheffield United made about Kabba not playing for us...have the FA finished their investigations?

yes kabba is awful etc, but he can do a job in the championship and espically if hendo goes and we dont buy anyone in we might need him

    King
    Prisken
then hoskins, moses wont be fit at the start of the season and so kabba

although how did bouazza do up front? maybe he could be the answer to our worries

does he want out and is causing a disruption? maybe hes seeing if he could get a move to the premership but if he doesnt that doesnt mean that he will cause aggravation and disruption and not play his hardest

yes he wants to go to a premier club, he thinks he is premiership class.

He IMO is a little foolish, wait until January Hammer - see how your form is and how the orns are doing and maybe leave in January or stay if we are top two/three.

You aren't that good and would not start every game at 90% of the premiership teams. The other 10% will be relegation candidates.

i agree i think that he will be better of staying and proving his weight. although i still think that unless watford really stop him playing first team football in the premership then he will not cause too many problems

A bit naive of us really.

Never buy a used striker from Neil, he didn`t let anyone good go - we used to sell Sheff Utd. our best players - never buy their worst.

He let Billy Sharp go (altough he could still turn out to not be very good in the Championship).
